The first reason this caught my eye was the design and color, and if you are a fan, you will not be disappointed. The scene fits the Poe Dameron theme, and as you turn it on, the main lights have different symbols. As far as performance, I had a lower-end Philips I have used the last year, and it was good, but on my chin and beard area, i would go over and over and over to get all the hair and stubble. With this product, i went over about 3 times and was about finished! Little to no pull and strong performance. It is a little higher price tag, but for the performance and cosmetic finish, worth all my money.

This shaver was on sale at a great price in Deals of the Day. So I bought it not realizing why it was on sale so cheap: it was a refurbished item. I generslly dont by refurbs. So it came scuffed up, and with NO instructions. Now it seems to work ok I guess as it shaves my stubble, with some effort. It takes a few passes and extra pressure to get the job done. So I don’t know if that’s because: 1. it’s not operating at full power, 2. or, if this is operating at as full power as a new one and it’s just weaker than other shavers by design; 3. Or maybe the blades were not replaced when refurbed, and were dulled by the previous owner before they returned it. It is gross to me to learn that a personal care product like this would or could be refurbed and resold! Was it sterilized? We’re the blades replaced? I have no way of knowing but I doubt it. Now, the paint “scuffing” on the handle.This Star Wars themed shaver is now a discontinued item, so I can’t even look it up on Best Buy’s website. I wanted to compare how it’s supposed to look, as maybe that “scuffing” is how it was supposed to look. Maybe that’s the design to make it look like the starship had seen a few re-entries into the atmosphere. LOL. But I kind of doubt it. So anyway I am going to return this thing for these many reasons. BUYER BEWARE. Read the fine print to see if what you’re buying at a huge discount is because it’s a REFURB.
