It's good for what it's worth

The delivery was on time, only a couple of scratches on the tv, but overall kinda disappointing. My three roommates all have flat screens (I thought I would finally upgrade with the times) and comparing mine to theirs- I was pretty close to the bottom. It had a weird buzzing noise every time you turned it on. The screen would slightly fuzz-- def not normal for a "kinda" new tv. I ended up returning it and just spending an extra 100 on a brand new Sony. I don't mind purchasing refurbished, factory-backed items, but in my case, like boyfriends, sometime it just doesn't work out. :)

After looking around for a while for a new tv I thought that this was what I was looking for. After getting it home, and opening it the first thing that I noticed was that it was smaller then my other 32'' that I have. Needless to say that I spent money for a tv that wasn't even a 32'' inch, but that the company claims is. Tape measures don't lie, but according to the compnay they do.

I was already sold by the brand name Phillips, but it was my first time buying a refurb becasue it was a good price and a brand that I trusted. I was dissapointed when I received my television. I cut it on and a loud whistling sound is what I heard over the volume. The picture was great. Thats the only complaint I had.

I recently bought two refurbished 32' LCD Phillips televisions after debating for several months whether it was the right move or not. I am glad to say that I'm totally satisfied both in terms of what I paid and how great of shape the tv's were for being refurished. Perfect condition, no scrathes, nicks or marks. Picture quality is almost equal to my LG 50' that I paid triple for compared to these Phillips. If I had to pick one blemish (and it is a small one) on these it would be the sound volume is somewhat muted. Outside of that, I wish I had some extra bonus money to buy a third!

This is my first HDTV and for the price I think it's fantastic! The sound is a litlle boxy when I'm not watching something being broadcast in HD- but otherwise it's good.
