Very Great and Affordable Electric Toothbrush.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my 14 year old that didnt really care about his dental health. This has made a huge difference in him brushing twice a day. Electronic toothbrushes are so much better at cleaning your teeth. So glad I made this purchase.

Freshen up your oral hygiene!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Philips Sonicare 1100 was a joy to use. The toothbrush came pre-charged and was very easy to setup. It's important to note that the brush has a 2 minute timer built because that's the ideal time you should spend brushing your teeth. The back and forth motion really helps reach the gum line and really cleans your teeth. Included in the package was the wireless charging stand (USB power adapter not included) and a great offer for replacement brushes when you register your device. My mouth has never felt fresher after using the Sonicare 1100 and the battery life lasts a lot longer than my old mechanical brush.

Sonicare's "travel-friendly" little brother
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've been longtime fans of the Sonicare lineup; this is actually our seventh Sonicare toothbrush--though it is by far and away the most basic and feature-starved of the bunch. That said, it is still a fantastic electric toothbrush and you probably wouldn't know what you were missing if you were coming into the Philips lineup without any prior experience. Starting with the design, the brush itself is slender--it feels fine in the hand, but it's missing some of the more reassuring "heft" of the larger Sonicare models; in my adult hands, it almost feels a bit "dainty." The slimmer/smaller cut of the unit also translates into what feels like a slightly less powerful motor unit under the hood than what you would get in the $100-$150 models...but given the bargain-basement price of the 1100 Power Toothbrush, that's more than forgivable. On the backside of the brush, a small set of plastic feet helps keep the brush facing upwards when placed on a flat surface--definitely appreciated for keeping the brush-head facing up while you set down the toothbrush to put the cap back on the toothpaste. There is just one speed available (and only one button to press) without any of the fancy pulse cycles or ramp-up/ramp-down programs of the more expensive Sonicare brushes...but if all you want is a clean-feeling set of teeth, one program is pretty much all you REALLY need. Although brush speed feels the same as the basic "clean" program on the larger Sonicare toothbrushes, the stroke feels just a tad less aggressive--again, probably owing to the slightly less beefy motor inside. There are no fancy readouts or LEDs save for a single battery level LED indicator at the bottom; an audible set of tones verifies when you place the toothbrush on the charger which is nice--the tones also sound when the battery level gets dangerously low (about 5 or fewer brushing sessions remaining). There is a barely audible tone and brief pause while you're brushing that occurs every 30 seconds to remind you to move the brush to another quadrant of your mount (upper/inside, lower/outside, etc.); and one full brush cycle lasts 2 minutes before the power cuts off automatically. Used at least twice daily, the battery should last between 1.5-2 weeks before needing a full recharge. The Sonicare 1100 is preprogrammed with something Philips calls "Easy-start"...it's supposed to gradually increase the intensity of the brushing action over the course of 14 brushing sessions to help you get used to the electric toothbrush...you can turn it on or off by holding down the power button while the toothbrush is seated on the charger, a set of rising or falling tones confirms whether Easy-start is enabled or disabled. Frankly, I couldn't really feel the difference between Easy-start on or off, but then I've been using Sonicare toothbrushes for years now, so the feeling wasn't really anything of a shock over a manual brushing. If you are just getting used to an electric toothbrush, the Easy-start feature may well make your transition feel less pronounced or intimidating. Fortunately, the full lineup of Sonicare accessories fit the 1100 just fine so we were able to use it with our own UV sanitizer station, charger bases, and other brush heads. The included Philips C1 brush head comes with a nice W-shaped profile that makes for easy cleaning between teeth and along the gum line--it's got medium-feeling bristles so you'll want to check out Sonicare's other offerings if you need a particularly soft or hard-feeling brush to suit your tastes. The C1 head includes wear indicators that fade over time so you'll know when you need to sink some money into replacement heads--we usually burn through one about 3-5 months. There is a small plastic cap that you can use to cover the brush head if you need to throw the toothbrush into a travel bag, but there is no hard case or carrying bag included to keep everything together (bummer). About the only thing we personally didn't care for was the 1100's included charging station--it has a USB cable, but there is no USB charger included. I imagine this is part of what allows Philips to keep the price so low. Granted, most people probably have USB chargers lying around in bulk these days, but the bathroom was one place where we simply didn't ever bother charging our phones, headsets, etc., and between razor cords, the hair dryer, hair curlers, and electric air fresheners, we actually had some trouble finding a convenient charging location for the toothbrush that was still within easy reach of the sink. Those of you with USB ports built into your outlets, or with USB chargers already littering your bathroom, shouldn't have any problems. Overall, the more compact size and USB-charger-friendly design makes this toothbrush feel a bit more like an ideal travel electric toothbrush than a full-time master-bathroom toothbrush; but if you don't need anything fancy, or frankly prefer a more svelte design and slimmer feeling in the hand, maybe the 1100 is right up your alley. As far as performance goes, the Sonicare 1100 delivers on everything it should (provided your needs are modest)...and frankly, it was nice to use a simple, no-nonsense hygiene appliance that was essentially fire-and-forget while still making short work out of brushing teeth with simply outstanding results--DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED, especially for the price!

Clean teeth, numb lips
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had other electronic toothbrushes where the head rotates and felt those did pretty good. This is my first Sonicare and it certainly feels that it is doing a fine job leaving my teeth smooth and clean. The brush is small and soft and with the sonic vibration can feel like you lose it in your mouth. I personally do not like how small and soft the included head is, however there are others that you can get to replace it. The vibration is also something to get used to as it can leave your cheeks and lips feeling numb for a little while. It has a built-in timer with a slight pause every 30 seconds to signify moving to the next quadrant and ending after 2 minutes. Overall it does exactly as advertised and I feel it is better than using a standard brush, especially since I don’t tend to time myself brushing. But, the vibration and default head type are a bit to get used to.

ECO FRIENDLY SONIC TOOTHBRUSH
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PHILIPS SONICARE - 1100 POWER TOOTHBRUSH, RECHARGEABLE ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH - WHITE GREY MODEL:HX3641/02 Best Buy Tech Insider Network ECO FRIENDLY SONIC TOOTHBRUSH OVERALL I’ve been using SONICARE brushes for a long time, and I really like how they work. I especially like how this model changed to a USB powered charger. The actual charger is not included, but you can request one, if you don’t already have 200 other chargers laying around the house. It is a good move by Phillips. I wish more companies would do this. The toothbrush works infinitely better than a manual toothbrush, especially if you use the timer notifications built in. Ideally you brush each “quadrant” until a gentle buzz occurs. This 1100 model seems to perform just as well as the more expensive models. I can’t tell any difference. In short it does a great job. I’ve not had any dental issues since I started using SONICARE about 15 years ago. This is a nice addition / upgrade to my existing SONICARE. I would 100% recommend it.

Great Entry Level Sonicare Toothbrush
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This toothbrush is a no brainer. Works fantastic. Great Value Rechargeable Light Weight Great cleaning Heads up, it does not come with the USB Power Adaptor / Wall plug, just the USB cord. I you’re like me, you have several laying around the house. (It requires a 5V) If needed, you can also ask Sonicare for one according to the included insert. This is the company’s way of being more eco-friendly, which is a smart idea. This also does not have a travel case, so best for home use only. A full battery charge will provide 2 weeks of use. (2 minute/ 2x per day) If you register online, you can get an extra 6 month warranty and free head replacement offer (with Subscription sign up) – Standard warranty is 2 years. This is the basic Sonicare toothbrush, no frills, but nice upgrade from prev. models. It is lighter with a smaller grip size and also has a smaller charger base. Honestly, I have one with all the frills, and simply don’t use them, so I gave that one to my daughter who wants to use the app to aid her in improving her gum health. Cleans very good, leaving you the squeaky-clean feeling. This brush removes 3x more plaque than a standard toothbrush at a speed of 31,000 brush movements per minute. If you want even cleaning power of 7x the plaque removal you can spend a little more and try the ProtectiveClean 4100 which has 62,000 brush movements per minute. I will say the wife likes the 1100, where I have the 4100, just a personal preference. If you have not used one of these electric toothbrushes before, you will probably find this power perfect. I have used this stye toothbrush for so many years that my gums like the higher speed. As stated above, I have been a Sonicare user for many years. Since using this style toothbrush I have had much better results at the dentist. Always get great feedback from the dentist that tell me my gums are nice and healthy. I would never go back to a manual toothbrush. For the value of this toothbrush, you simply can’t go wrong.

Great clean teeth.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned 3 sonic brushes over the past 15 years. This is model is a definite upgrade from the first ones that I had back them. The heads are the second generation heads. The first generation heads had the magnets in the heads that you could remove after they were done these are the heads that you plug into a metal stick that sticks out and are ready to go. The Sonic technology is great. It leaves your teeth feeling nice and slick and clean afterwards. The super slim design is a huge upgrade from the second generation that had that used these heads. Only had thing with the slim design is that if you have big hands this thing will.seem like a tooth pick to you. The package came with the base and USB cable but no charger. Ehhhhhhhh.... I know that the note says if you want a charger you can contact them because they don't want to make more plastic but who wants to sacrifice their phone charger in the bathroom for a toothbrush? That is my only ding. Battery life seems great. I am on day 2 of brushing 3 times a day and has not run out. Disclaimer back when I had my first sonic brushes it caused my old filling to kinda pop out due to me pressing too hard and the Sonic nature of the brush resonanted my filling loose. So just be aware of this potential from happening to you and take it easy if you have old silver or lead fillings. Other than that sonic cleans well and this new slim design is great. I would recommend this product.

A Clinically Satisfying Brushing Experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a few electric toothbrushes before getting this one That being said, I'm not a stranger to using them. I love the feel of my mouth after the humming bristles rushed over my teeth and gums, leaving me with a fresh and clean smile that I don't mind sharing with the world. That could have a lot to do with the tooth paste as well, but I digress. Philips hasn't let me down yet. Before getting this toothbrush, I already used their Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 & that was a game changer for me and flossing. So you have to imagine how excited I was to get this thing on my teeth( Don't be weird). Opening the box, we're greeted with the handle, charger and one brush head. The only drawback is not wall plug(brick). I get it. I can understand that this makes it possible to take the brush anywhere and charge it on your PC, if need be or any USB port available. But still, it would be nice to know that my Philips charging brick was at home awaiting me. I say this because, the battery lasts up to 14 days. That's a vacation, a couple/few business trips. Heck multiple sleepovers even. You shouldn't need to pack your charger anyway. Let's get down to what we're here for. Does it even do the job? You're darned right, it does. The power behind a fully charged Philips is honestly more power than one should wield. The bristles have a strong vibrating pulse that mugs your mouth and robs it of as much lose debris as mechanically possible . With 30 seconds between each sudden transition to move to a new position in your mouth, it's seamless and somewhat poetic. I'm probably over-hyping this thing. But hey, this is my opinion of it. I may be a little biased because of the power flosser, but I really believe it's that good. I am really happy with this toothbrush. Plus the replacement heads are very affordable. I'm looking forward to using this for a long time. I can, do, and will continue to recommend this to all of my friends.

does a good job
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received nicely packaged. Included is a charging base with cord, brush head and a pamphlet for use etc. The construction is excellent and shows quality. One miss however, is the charging stand requires the use of a USB charging block - and that is not included. Definite improvement would be the actual power adapter directly attached. This toothbrush seems to use high frequency "vibrations" rather than an oscillating or rotating action. It seemed to do a fair job, however, I felt the brush head a bit small. I should note, that being a senior with some gum recession / sensitive teeth, I found the vibrations to intensify this more than usual. May not apply to other users.... Overall, this does a reasonable job, and would recommend.

Low Cost Sonicare
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works as well as my older, more expensive model did which was also a Sonicare. This one needs a USB to plug in the charging cable and that does not come in the box. You can get one free from Philips if you need one which I did. I got it fast and my brush charges great. It has a timer that tells you when to move on to brushing the next quadrant.

very good cheap replacement. Small handle for kids
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works wonderfully and met all my requirements. 1. Price is good. Sometimes you can find a coupon or discount for $5 off. 2. It uses the snap on heads which i can buy in bulk. 3. The handle is very slim and good for my hands and also for kids. 4. The sonic power/vibrations is adequate and comparable to my previous model. I had an easyclean before but it broke. searching says it is about 31000 per minute. 5. It does not come with brush replacement reminder, i'll decide when my brush head needs replacement, thanks sonicare. Cons: the charger is missing a power brick. but doesn't affect me since my old charger works with this model.
