    The best toothbrush ever made

This is absolutely the best toothbrush I have ever gotten. I have had major dental issues for years and this cures everything. I love the Bluetooth feature. It teaches me how to brush and where I’m missing. The different modes are different brushes. This is absolutely the best toothbrush I highly highly recommend it for anybody especially people that have gingivitis and other teeth and gum issues. I’ve never been happier with a toothbrush like this one. I will buy this again and again, and I have already told 10 people where I got it from and they will probably purchase.

    The Cadillac of toothbrushes

I want to first say that this is the best, most versatile toothbrush I’ve ever used - and I’ve owned many Sonicare brushes. And while it comes with lots of features and accessories, it’s expensive (including the toothbrush heads), and in some ways overkill. So I don’t question its use and quality, but its price might not make it for everyone). IN THE BOX The box is quite frankly, gigantic. Especially knowing it’s a toothbrush. Inside you’ll find a variety of items including a charging base, a glass (for water), 6 toothbrush heads, a tongue scraper head, the base of course, and a travel case that charges your toothbrush. The brush heads serve different purposes, so one is for “whitening”, one is for plaque control, one is for gum care, and you’ll get one tongue scraper. Other than the scraper which serves an obvious purpose, I’m not sure whether one is really better than the other - sure, the bristles have different shapes and colors, but I’m not convinced the different functions is anything more than marketing. But, I’m also no dentist. A comment about the brush heads, these are “smart” brush heads with little codes on them. For example, the whitening brush head is “W3” and the plaque control is “C3.” The toothbrush handle recognizes which one is installed and automatically picks the appropriate settings. So while I imagine you could, in theory, install offbrand (read cheaper) brush heads, you’ll lose some functionality. To me, that’s worth noting because I know the brush heads can get expensive. USING As I’ve said, I’ve used Sonicare toothbrushes for some time. If you’ve never used one and have always used a manual toothbrush, you will immediately notice the difference by how clean and smooth your teeth feel after the first brush. I’ve gotten used to that experience so that feeling is gone, but I can certainly attest that you won’t find a better all around clean with a Sonicare toothbrush (the real question is whether the “Cadillac” smart app version is the one for you). Again, for those uninitiated, all Sonicare brushes and this one is no exception, have a 2 minute timer. So when you turn it on, it will operate for 2 minutes before shutting off automatically. Using a Sonicare brush is a different experience in the sense that you don’t really scrub your teeth like a manual brush, you are simply lightly holding the brush head against your teeth and letting the motor and brush do the work. For this toothbrush, you’ll want to download the app and connect your toothbrush. I’ll skip going over the connection process, it was really simple and guided by the app. But the app is good as a coach and keeping you honest. I’m a bit loathe to continue to buy “smart” versions of everyday items because it ends up being just one more app on my phone. I don’t really go into the app everyday and use the coach, I’ve gotten used to brushing my teeth with one and covering all areas of my teeth. But I can see it being helpful for those with not great brushing habits (I’m not suggesting I have great habits) or getting used to brushing for 2 minutes and making sure you hit all quadrants of your mouth. But the app has a silhouette of your teeth when you're brushing that circles the zone of your teeth and areas you should focus on. It seems to learn from your habits and suggests problem zones (which are just areas you might not have focused on previously). It also tracks your brushing, the number of minutes and whether you’re brushing twice a day. Again, if you already do this it might be superfluous, but for those looking or needing accountability and seeing real time feedback, it can be immensely helpful). When brushing, you can choose from different modes and intensity settings. If you’re a new user you may want to explore what works for you, as it can be a little uncomfortable at first if you are too aggressive and put too much pressure on your teeth (again, you need gentle pressure, the motor and bristles do all the work). But you can choose for white, deep clean, or gum health. I typically use the all-in-one brush for reasons I mentioned above - to me they all seem to accomplish the same mission. But gum health might be best for sum as it is a little more gentle on the gumline. As anecdotal evidence of the effectiveness of Sonicare brushes, I’ve been using a version of them for more than a decade and I’ve never had a cavity - and when I go into dental cleanings, I’m rarely there long, as there’s not much to clean. These brushes do that good a job and the DiamondClean is my favorite so far. ACCESSORIES As I mentioned, this comes with a glass and charging base. From the promotions it looks like the toothbrush might charge in the glass but that didn’t seem to be the case for me. The glass fits on the charging base, but there’s a separate clear plastic cover that sits on the charging base and the toothbrush stands up inside of it. I’m one to drink directly from the faucet, so I don’t use the glass. The travel case, however, is a great bonus. I’ve traveled for two weeks with a Sonicare brush before and never charged it when I was gone. The battery lasts that long. While I don’t know how long the battery on this model lasts - I’m assuming it’s shorter only because of the smart features, but I don’t know. Since it lives on the charging base when I’m not using it, I always have a charge. But the travel case eliminates any concern about the battery and you don’t have to pack the charging base with you. The case holds the handle and a brush and on the bottom side of it is a flap you can open to reveal a charging port. So you can charge your toothbrush on the go. The only downside, and it’s minor, is that the case is kind of large. It’s not unwieldy, but I wish it were a little bit smaller - I really try to travel very light. But having protection of my toothbrush and being able to charge it on the go outweighs the cons of the size of the case. CONCLUSION This is truly the best toothbrush I’ve ever used. It’s quiet, reliable, durable, and feature packed. Honestly, the lower end models are just as good in the brushing department. If this is too expensive for your budget, then go with a cheaper Sonicare. But given that the health of your teeth is so important, if you’ve had any issues at all, it’s worth the money to splurge on the health of your teeth. The coaching on the app is a little much at least for me, but I certainly appreciate what Philips is doing and see how it could benefit some people.

If you're looking for a toothbrush that does it all, look no further. This feature-packed, all-in-one toothbrush offers the ultimate oral hygiene experience. The quick change heads make it easy to switch between different brushing modes. There are multiple heads included for deep cleaning, whitening, tongue cleaning, and more. And if that wasn’t enough, each brush head has a microchip installed so the app can monitor everything from your brushing style, to areas you may have missed, to sending notifications of when the head should be replaced, and more. See my app screenshots. The helpful app tracks your brushing habits and provides personalized recommendations for improving your oral health. It actually coaches you to a better smile. Additionally, the toothbrush notifies you if you are brushing/scrubbing too hard. It utilizes vibrations to convey this message, a feature found in many electric toothbrushes. I have owned several electric toothbrushes through the years and the Philips Sonicare 9700 is easily the most feature packed winner of them all. There are several brushing modes, including a normal everyday cleaning mode, a deep clean mode for a thorough clean, and a whitening mode for a brighter smile, and even a tongue cleaning mode with a special head. There is a mode for every type of oral cleaning included with this package. Initially, the charging base seemed peculiar to me, with the toothbrush placed in a drinking glass on top of the charger. However, after using it, I've come to appreciate its design. Placing the toothbrush into the glass is effortless, and the device promptly recognizes it, initiating the charging process. Moreover, the glass is easily removable, doubles as a rinsing glass, and allows for convenient cleaning in the dishwasher every few days, as needed. So far, I haven’t needed to travel with this toothbrush, but when I do, I feel like this will be the perfect one for the job. Philips says that it can run up to two weeks on a single charge, but if that isn’t enough, they have also included a handy travel case that charges the handle via USB. This truly is the best all-in-one toothbrush package I have ever seen. To date, I haven't had the opportunity to take this toothbrush on any trips, but I believe it would be ideal for that purpose. According to Philips, the toothbrush can last up to two weeks on a single charge. And for extended travel, it comes with a convenient travel case that allows you to charge the handle via USB. In my opinion, this is the finest all-in-one toothbrush set I've ever come across. With its superior cleaning power, multiple heads/brushing modes, and helpful app, this toothbrush is the complete oral hygiene package. You'll never need another toothbrush again.

The Best Toothbrush I’ve Ever Used

I recently upgraded my 8 year old electric toothbrush to the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 electric toothbrush, and I must say, it has truly opened my eyes to just how bad my oral care was and my over habits were before switching to this and it has completely transformed my tooth brushing ways. The design of the DiamondClean Smart 9700 is very sleek, with a modern, and down right stylish look (I would never have thought I would say that about a toothbrush ha). The build quality is top-notch, with a solid construction that feels durable and well-made. The ergonomic design paired with the matte finish makes it feel great in the hand when brushing and it’s not too heavy so your arm will not get tired when holding it. The DiamondClean comes with two wireless charging docks one for your everyday charging at home and then a travel case that holds up to brush heads. The at home charging base comes with two different stands: a glass cup base design and an upright puck design. The glass cup allows you to just place it anywhere in the cup and it will automatically charge the toothbrush. Then with the puck base you just place it straight down into it and stand up vertically like most Electric toothbrushes. You also get six brush heads and one tongue brush, which is very much appreciated considering how much this toothbrush costs, which should get you a year and half before having to buy new Heads. Where the DiamondClean Smart 9700 truly shines is in Its performance and features with their sonic technology while being paired with the Sonicare app (you can download the app from your smartphone's app store). This combo helps effectively remove plaque and stains for a noticeably cleaner and brighter smile. It also delivers powerful yet gentle cleaning action, The brush heads come with a built-in Microchip, where the brush will automatically detect which brush head was attached and it can automatically adjust its speed and motion, based on the selected brushing mode, ensuring the best cleaning results without any guesswork. The integration with the Sonicare app is where the DiamondClean truly shines. So, just open the app, start brushing and the countdown timer along with the visual layout of your teeth will pop up, and just follow what section of teeth it tells you to brush. While you are brushing it will let you know if you are applying too much pressure with a red notification in the middle and once the timer is done, it will let you know if you didn't focus on a particular area of your teeth, and it will inform you to take a couple more seconds on that area. The brush with the app integration step-by-step guild, showed me just how bad my old brushing habits were and how I would rush to brush my teeth and would not focus enough on certain areas. Looking back now I think it’s safe to assume my poor form definitely led to some cavities and poor gum health. I also appreciate the versatility of the DiamondClean Smart 9700, in how it has multiple brushing modes and intensity settings from clean, White+, gum health, deep clean+, and Tongue care. Overall, the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 is truly a game-changer in oral care technology. Its powerful cleaning performance, smart sensor technology, and user-friendly features and interface make it the standout choice for anyone who is focused on bettering their oral healthcare. I highly recommend this toothbrush and you will actually look forward to brushing your teeth. Pros: Sleek and stylish design. Smart sensor technology with real-time feedback via the Sonicare app. Multiple brushing modes and intensity settings. Travel charging case Cons: Premium price point may not be suitable for everyone. App connectivity requires a compatible smart device with Bluetooth. Some users may find the brush head replacements to be expensive after the provided ones are used.

I thought that it would be a tough sell for a toothbrush of all things to have bluetooth and app connectivity, but after a week using this one I can say that it is actually a game changer. The app integration brings a number of features that never occurred to me before, but all make brushing my teeth a more enjoyable and thorough experience. I struggle with very sensitive gums, and it is very easy to accidentally brush too hard causing myself discomfort. One of the first things I noticed with this brush is it gives both a visual and an audible notification via the app and on the brush itself if I start to push too hard and that has made an incredible positive difference for my sensitivity. It also gives me feedback about my overall quality while brushing, ensuring I don’t miss anything or cause myself sensitivity issues. It has 5 different modes that all have different use cases such as gum care, whitening, and general cleaning. Included with it are 6 different brush heads, 3 different types for brushing and one for tongue cleaning. It also has a charging stand and a travel case that can also charge with a hidden usb cable. The app is very useful, automatically syncing up with the brush as soon as you pull off off the charger and once you select on the handle the type of clean you want the app will guide you through your brushing and give you realtime feedback as you go. It saves your sessions and gives you a history you can look through to see what you can do better. It also keeps track of your usage with specific brush heads so you know when they should be replaced. It’s very intuitive and I really like the features it offers. This toothbrush has been extraordinary so far and even life changing to an extent for me making sure that I don’t hurt my gums but still get a quality clean every day. The app is a great tool and not a gimmick as I feared, and it is a super high-quality brush that is truly worth the investment. I am so happy with this toothbrush and surprised and what a difference it has made for me, and I can’t recommend it enough.

This is my third or fourth electric toothbrush in the past 10 or so years, and by far the fanciest. I never thought I would be someone who had a bluetooth-capable toothbrush, but here we are! The pros: * comes with several different toothbrush heads with a variety of functions/features, including a tongue scraper * battery life is AMAZING (my apartment's bathroom is not conducive at all to charging the toothbrush, and even with regular use for over a week, I still did not have to charge it!) * comes with a glass cup that can double as a charger (see pictures) * thoroughly cleans my teeth (with exceptions - see below) * app supported, and gives you real time feedback on your brushing (coverage of your mouth, pressure, and motion) and a timer * sleek design with multiple cleaning options * tracks when you need to replace your toothbrush head * travel case can also charge your brush! Cons * the app drives me a little crazy, because of the way it lays out where you are brushing in your teeth, and gives you a front/back period of time for the back 4 areas, but not the front, which leads to not as thorough of a clean in the front (at least for me) * for the app to track your usage, your phone has to be on and the app running, which can be frustrating if you leave your phone in the other room, or it has died * price point is a little high, even with all the features it has

I don’t think my mouth has ever felt this clean, even after a dental appointment. From coming with different styles of heads for whatever you are looking for or particular style you like to having different speeds and timing. To get the full advantage of this toothbrush, you want to have the Sonicare app installed and open when you are ready to brush. Then you get a timer and a diagram of a mouth and it monitors your motions. Such as brushing too fast, pushing too hard or not being in a particular section long enough. It is pretty good at knowing at least the inside/outside of the section you are brushing, but it is on you to follow the area as it can’t determine it that much. I certainly had been using my older Sonicare brush too fast compared to the speed of this one with the reminders to slow down. The only downside to using the app is having a good place to keep your phone, because having it on the counter means you have to look down and that can make for some messy brushing. The full collection is a bit overwhelming at first. It comes with 6 brush heads and a tongue brush. It has a charging base, a stand for the charging base, a glass that can also fit on the charging base and a travel case along with the main handle. The main handle feels a bit big to me personally, like it is a lot to handle while brushing your teeth. It also ends up being easy to bump the buttons when you are moving it around and suddenly you are in a different mode. But, it certainly isn’t your average electric toothbrush. Overall this toothbrush system will ensure you are brushing at your best and help get the clean you are looking for. You end up with a few pieces you might not use but from time to time, such as the hard travel case, unless you do travel a fair bit, and the extra heads. But, you get to try out the different head types to find your preference. Personally, I like the A3 All-in-one, but they only included one of those in the set.

I have really enjoyed how electronic toothbrushes are more and more the mainstay for people to use. The new Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 (yes a mouthful for branding) has taken everything to the next level showcasing all you can get in a toothbrush. PROS: - Unboxing showcased this toothbrush is legit. The toothbrush itself has a really high luxury look with the blue and gold trim. - I was really impressed with all the additional items you get. 6 brush heads and 1 tongue brush head, travel case, wireless charging cup with stand. All excellent accessories to have! - Something I thought was subtly great, was the carrying case has a built in charger hidden in the bottom compartment. Really nice to have so you dont need to worry about your toothbrush ever dying! - The toothbrush has two buttons on it, one for power and one for setting the style you want it to clean. I think thats a great feature because you can do just a basic clean or focus more on teeth whitening or gum health. - The big selling point of this toothbrush is the companion app. The toothbrush connects via Bluetooth and will sync with the Philips app you put on your phone. Based on that connection, the toothbrush will track where it has brushed in your mouth so that it can tell you where you are spending too much time or not enough time at all! Plus it can say whether you are applying too much pressure or not enough at all. Really cool tech for a toothbrush! CONS: - Minor complaint but I wish the USB-A charger was USB-C. I think that would deliver faster charging and be more future proof with all the USB-C chargers in the world. BOTTOM LINE: - This toothbrush is the top of the line. It has the power to really give you a deep clean, the features to help focus on areas you need the most help on, and the smart features to give you the most in depth analytics on your teeth you can get. Truly this one can not be beaten!

I have been using the previous version of this toothbrush for seven years now and this updated model is even better! First, the handle is very well constructed and looks fabulous. Second, the included mouthwash/rinse/charging cup is a great addition to keep your handle charged and be able to always have a cup around for mouthwash and rinsing. Third, the kit comes with everything you need to start off with the best dental hygiene purchase you'll make! It comes with a variety of brush heads, including Philips's new "all-in-one" brush head, a tongue scrubber head, and a charging travel case that is perfectly molded to the brush handle and carries two brush heads with the USB cable neatly stored in the bottom of the case. Fourth, the app is incredible. I personally don't use the auto-order function for brush heads, but it is a great feature to have if you never want to run out. The app connects via Bluetooth to the handle, which itself connects to the brush head to ensure you're getting the most out of each head and function. It actually tracks each distinct head and how many uses it has left, even on all 3 of the White+ heads I've been swapping around on my old handle and now on the new handle. Not a crucial feature to have, but it is great if you use different brush heads for different purposes (or have 3 of the same you accidentally switch between). The app also guides you through brushing to ensure proper pressure, coverage, and time while also tracking the number of times per day, average brushing time, and days you've brushed. There's even a feature to connect with a dentist through the app! Overall, I would highly recommend this toothbrush for anyone who is looking for the best oral hygiene system out there!

Brushing your way to dental health

I have been using a prior model of Phillips Sonicare for several years and it has been a very dependable toothbrush. This newest model is certainly a step up and I recommend it. Unpacking and setup was very easy. I already had Sonicare app on my Android phone, so did not need to install it. I picked add a new device and app walked me thorough setup (already had Phillips account). Included are Nice blue hue handle and fits easily in my hand. 4 different types of heads – 1 (A3 Premium all in one), 3 (C3 2 in 1 Plague removal and whitening), 2 (G3 2 in 1 Plague removal and gum care) with plastic travel caps, as well as 1 (T1 Tongue Care). No “holder” for the heads included as my old one did with a place for 2 heads on the charger. A charging base which can be used with the provided charging glass (admit I don’t quite understand why it’s included) or charging stand – which I chose to use. Travel Case (black long oval shape) that holds handle and 2 brushes as well as a built in USB charging cable (brick to plug into wall is in included) Using Bluetooth the phone/app communicates with the brush. Starts by showing a diagram of mouth/teeth. As you brush it times you as well as indicating the area to be brushed. While brushing it will indicate if moving too fast or applying too much pressure, etc. After completing (time depends on level selected) it will show on diagram any areas you missed and ask if you want to “touch-up” these areas. If touch-up selected diagram will direct you to area(s) to be brushed again as well as a timer. Once app feels you have done a good enough job it queries if you flossed, used mouthwash and cleaned tongue. I selected no for tongue, and it brought up timer as well as instructions to clean tongue (had to change heads as well). Also, while brushing it will “beep” every 20 seconds or so to let you know to move on from – as well as give a different “buzz” if you are applying too much pressure. It is like having your mom or dentist standing next to you looking over your shoulder. The handle is very sleek and not too heavy to allow easy maneuvering. There is an on/off power button at the top. 2nd button allows you to select mode (clean, white+, gum health, deep clean or tongue care). There is also a battery life LED indicator. The brush colors fade as they wear out and brush keeps track of use time as well and will indicate when it feels its time to replace. Brushing cleans the teeth/gums very well, as one would expect. Tongue cleaning is a great option and will be using it. I did find that the provided brushes have larger/stiffer heads than I used in prior Sonicare toothbrush. I fully charged before using and it has been 3 days (morning/evening) use and still on 3 lights for power indicator. 2-year warranty. Packing indicated a 6-month extension as well as a free brush head if you registered it immediately – it didn’t recognize this model so I could not complete. Final impressions. The app is cool and is useful with nice graphics and several options. It keeps track of your history as well. As stated, I can’t figure out why there is a charging glass included? Overall, a nice addition for your teeth and gum health. I am confused though as the instruction book seemed to indicate there should have been a brush head holder as well as USB-A wall adapter included. Could not find them, so maybe I am mis-interpreting the manual.

I have been a fan of Philip toothcare products and have owned 3 Sonicare brushes over the last 8 years. So naturally, I was wanted to see what additional technology was added from my current 9300 series. I never download the app before, but I figured I would give it a try. The Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 was recognized quickly and was able to log my brushing technique. The only valuable thing I liked about the app was that it alerted when I was brushing too quickly. However, the app could be useful to determine if my kids are brushing twice a day. Just like my older model, I liked everything about this toothbrush. It cleaned well, the charge should last about 2 weeks, the toothbrush alerted with lights on the bottom when you brush too hard, and it had multiple settings for different kinds of cleaning. I liked that this model included 6 different toothbrush heads and a tongue cleaner. The 9700 series added a charging cable on the travel case which is nice for long trips. However, I would like for the cable to be USB-C or include an adapter since my newer laptops do not have USB-A. I would recommend this Philip Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 toothbrush. The added tongue cleaner option is a tiny addition, but the real value is the added included toothbrush heads and the charging travel case.

I have used a Sonicare DiamondClean series toothbrush for many years and decided to upgrade to the new Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 Rechargeable Toothbrush system and am thrilled with the product. The biggest impact of the product is the incorporation of the Sonicare application to use while brushing my teeth and to follow the advice in real time for applying too much pressure or for guidance of moving to another section of my mouth for cleaning. I was a little overwhelmed at first with all of the different toothbrush head styles that were included in the kit but after a week I was much more relaxed and had already gotten used to the new changes in my oral care. I noticed that a tongue scraper was included as one of the attachments and would brush my tongue occasionally in the past but now I love how clean my mouth feels after spending the time necessary to go through all of the suggested cleaning actions. I highly recommend the system for anyone looking to maximize their oral hygiene experience with this well-rounded system. I will recommend it to my friends and family even though the system is a bit pricey compared to basic products. I think the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 is worth the price to achieve the best outcome.

I have owned Phillips sonicare toothbrushes in the past. So I was eager to try the 9700 diamond clean smart when I first saw it. The first look is very clean and sleek. It almost looks like jewelry. I’m loving the blue handle and the black plastic brush pieces. My favorite part is the charging dock has a gold base to match the gold ring around the toothbrush. It also fits in snug just in case you bump it. It won’t fall out and stop charging. my only drawback for this set is that you have a set of brushes for plaque removal and whitening then you have a set of brushes for plaque removal and gum care then you have a set of brushes for tongue care or a tongue brush. And a perfect role they would all be in one brush, but they’re not so I have been rotating them weekly because rotating them every other day is a pain in the butt. Overall I really like this. It even comes with a class to pour water into or some sort of mouthwash and it cleans up very well. To top it all off is perfect for Travel because the Travel case has a charging cable so you will never run out of battery.

10x better than brushing manually and makes the gums and teeth feel as though I was just at the dentist for a cleaning.

Excellent toothbrush. Replaced sonicare 9300 that stooped working. Always have had great results with sonicare toothbrushes. Recommend 100% with no reservations.
