I had decided to get a new blu-ray player and not pay to repair my old player. The quality and experience of this player was beyond my expectations.

It's hard to tell whether or not this will give Dolby Vision with a Sony TV. Both my TV and this 4k player say Dolby Vision compatible, however there's no display on this 4k player that will tell you whether HDR is active or not. Besides that, it's a good player. The remote has some weight to it, so it feels like good quality.

Dolby Vision and Dual HDMI (one for Audio only) for under $200. You won't find it anywhere else (all other UHD Players under $200 will NOT have Dolby Vision). It loads the discs quick and does HDR10 and Dolby Vision wonderfully. Although i'm not using it, those that have HD Audio Receivers without 4k and\or HDR passthrough, the player has dual HDMI ports to accommodate (one for Audio only and the other for 4k). Netflix and YouTube works great (i am wired up via Cat5e Ethernet --- have not tested WiFi strength\Speed). Remote control is simple and easy to use. Just a few things i noticed > It's not the quietest player, but not annoying (plus my equipment is in a closet). It's not the prettiest of the bunch (very plain and plasticy), and there is only one LED dot telling you its on, no other lights\displays on the player. If a disc has Dolby Vision, there is no way to change it to HDR10 if you wish not to use Dolby Vision (however, if you just have a HDR10 TV without Dolby Vision, it'll default to HDR10) *No local Best Buy (or other local stores) stock them in the store, it seems to be an online only item. **It comes with an HDMI cable, however my items are far away from the TV. My original 7 year old $150 - 50ft HDIM cable was flickering 4k content due to it not having the bandwidth for the data passing through. I had to replace my 50ft HDMI to a 4k capable HDMI to resolve the problem. So just keep that in mind in case you run into that issue. I got mine on sale, so i'm very happy with the product.

I used this player for couple months. This is just a mid-range Blu-ray player with nothing interesting/special there. Standard selection of features, standard number of outputs. Pros: Works well with my Samsung 4k HDR TV, so far no issues found. Cons: I think it's a bit overpriced. Previous model of player (Philips - BDP7501) was much better (IMO)

Would of given it 5 stars but it would not play one of my blue ray dvd's.

I had bought this player at Christmas. I was replacing a previous 4k blu ray player. I was wanting dolby vision compatibility for the new titles coming. Update today made this possible. Dolby Vision can be enabled on any title. Looks far better than HDR10. With atmos and dtsx support as well....This is the best priced 4k player with dolby vision on the market! Highly recommend!!!!

This player is actually not portrayed correctly by Best Buys website. This is a true 4K player and even supports Dolby Vision HDR. The only other blu ray player that supports this as of 10/19/17, is the equally priced LG UP970. Hopefully Best Buy fixes their product information page to accurately represent this product soon.
