They also appreciate the soothing effect of the light and the sunrise simulation feature. While some customers find the price a bit high, they generally feel that the Wake-Up Light is an effective alternative to a regular alarm clock.

    Doesn't Work

Well, since you asked. I have to say that this quite simply doesn't work as advertised. I can't get the light to come on at the intended time in the morning. The only time it comes on is when I click the button. It's just a fancy looking analog clock at this point, but probably worth about $7. I plan to take it to the Geek Squad soon.

    Not for Me

Just did not work for me. The sleep sounds were too limited and the wake up light just never seemed right. Additionally, the buttons to turn off the alarm as well as the light were hard to access. I took it back.

After spending several hours combing through various reviews of wake-up lights I decided on Phillips HF20. This has been my first wake-up light and I am very happy with it. Here are my Pros and Cons: PROS: 1) It has woken me every morning - on time. 2) The music it plays is very pleasant. 3) It is a colored sunrise simulation (not just white). 4) It keeps its alarm settings after losing power. 5) The go-to-sleep setting is a useful enough feature for knowing when to get off social media and sleep. CONS: 1) The light that displays the actual time is too dim and blurry. 2) It takes multiple taps for the light to go into snooze mode. 3) While the light is very bright it could be somewhat brighter. 4) Needs more music options with a louder volume capability. 5) It is a little overpriced. $100.00-$110.00 would be more appropriate. Overall it is a great product with some room for improvement. If you want light to wake you in the morning I would recommend getting this guy.

    Only worked for 2 days!

I had really high hopes for this wake up light. I found this one to have the most potential as you can adjust the brightness, and how many minutes you want to it begin illuminating at. It was really great!...at first. I set it up, and it worked a whole TWO DAYS, before I noticed the display started to dim. I thought maybe it was the outlet at first, so I unplugged it and plugged it back it...only to find after doing that which should reset it, it did absolutely NOTHING! The light didn't work, the display was completely gone, the radio didn't work...it was dead! I tried 3 other outlets to make sure it wasn't the power supply and still..nothing. For as much money as it costs, it should work far longer than only 2 days. I'm just glad it happened within the 15 day return policy best buy has or else I would have had to deal with Phillips directly. Huge disappointment!

    I'm Loving This!

I've been using this product for a few days now and so far so good. Set up was easy and the alarm works like a dream; make sure you set it for the time you want to wake up, not the time you want the light to start turning on. I'm typically really grumpy in the morning as I detest having to get up early, but these past few days, I've been more alert and my mood has improved significantly. I love waking up to the soothing sound of a wooden flute (Zen Garden). The sunset feature isn't really useful for me (as I typically fall asleep watching a favorite show), but everything else about this product is great. I'm so glad I found this lamp...and at an extremely deep discount!

Meh; expensive for what you get.

Sensitivity of touch functions hit or miss. I find that the buttons around the outer edge are difficult to find. Light worked for a few years then broke one day. A lot of money to spend on something that only lasted a few years. I didn't consistently use the light function that much during that time.

    Overpriced lamp with alarm clock

I bought this alarm clock six months ago with high hopes that this light would help me wake up during dark, winter mornings. WRONG! It's not big enough to simulate the sun. The light made zero difference. I was never "woken gently" by the light. That said, it is big and takes up most of the space of my bedside stand. As for the light being useful for reading. That is complete nonsense. This light does not work for reading. It's too low (unlike a real lamp, which is taller). Not worth $150. Save your money.
