Awesome game but it is pretty much the same game that came out on the Wii U so if you have that version I wouldn’t worry about getting this one. If you did not play this game on the Wii U then this is definitely a fun game to pick up and it’s co-op.

Fantastic, one of Nintendo's greatest, most original games ever. The added content is FANTASTIC: The EPILOUGE (which only opens up after beating main game) is fantastic! Hard! The new controls, spot on, co-op, game-changing. Only wish that the great BINGO BATTLE was online. That being said, buy this game!

If you enjoyed the Wii U version of this game, you will certainly enjoy it on the Switch. The story mode is great, with awesome puzzles and refreshed controls to make it more accessible. The new side stories bring more fantastic and more difficult levels to an already great game.

This is an excellent Port of a Wii U title. This features NUMEROUS improvements from the original including the Hard and Ultra Spicy difficulties for experienced Pikmin fans, as well as the highly begged for 2 player Story Mode. Would be 5 stars, but unfortunately the games control scheme is very clunky, The lock on aim feature is now harder to cancel, and the Ultra Spicy Spray and Character Change controls have been mapped to the same buttons, in favor of a Hint button that you can't turn off.

Great game, Pikmin has always been such a fun mix of action adventure, puzzle and a little bit real time strategy. If you are a fan of the series and missed this release on the Wii U make sure to pick this up.

This game was one of the only highlights of the Wii-U experience, and I am glad that they ported it to the Switch. It is a direct port, so I think it should be less than a $50 AAA title.

I wasn't sure that I'd enjoy a time management game even with the pikmin asthetic, but for $30 I decided now was the time to find out. I'm glad I did because Pikmin 3 has been a lot of fun. I haven't beaten it yet, I've only recently unlocked all the Pikmin types, but the game is a lot more forgiving than I had expected and even lets you redo a days of exploration if you lost a lot of pikmin or feel you could've done better that day. There are some challenges to overcome and several multi-tasking puzzels but they are a lot of fun to overcome. Would recomend.

A lot of fun, nice story, some interesting puzzles and bad guys and great graphics. Essentially rescuing your colleagues , collecting fruit to stay alive, and killing alien life forms. My two young kids enjoyed it a lot and had fun unlocking each type of pikmin. Took about 3 weeks playing an hour a day to complete the entire story. Was originally reluctant to buy as the age guide said for much older kids but my 7 year old was able to muddle through it guiding her younger brother as player 2. Some of the “boss” monsters are a bit scary for younger folk but nothing worse than say “ninjago” lego tv programs. Highly recommended.

I loved Pikmin on the Game cube as a child, so I was very excited to see how this game would play on the switch. I've only played it on single player mode so far, but it's richer in content then I expected. I want to play it back in two player mode to take full advantage of the new playing style. The maps are complex enough that I feel like the game was worth the price, but solvable enough that I don't have to spend ages doing tasks. I also love the art.

A Lot of Multiplayer Here, A Great Campaign Too

I have never finished a Pikmin game, but a portable version of a main entry in the series made it possible! Pikmin is a game in which miniature alien folk land on an Earth-like planet full of Earth-like food and also little creatures called Pikmin. You manage these Pikmin who are grouped by color, each with different abilities and traits, in order to fight other adorable creatures, destroy and build and move things. The game's delightful almost-difficult gameplay urges you forward just enough and keeps you engaged with a day cycle, permanent death for your pikmin, and a resource requirement you have to meet each day (a bottle of juice for your crew to drink), and always gives you something to manage at once with up go three three separate controllable groups and pikmin assigned all over the map. All parts of the game can be played with two players, but there are both cooperative and competitive levels aside from the campaign which aren't going to keep you playing through the decade, but should give you at least as much as the campaign does as long as you have someone to play with.

A Great Port of a Wii U Gem

Pikmin 3 is a fantastic game, and was so when it initially released on the Wii U years ago. This Switch port add some nice enhancements and additions but is essentially the same game with sightly better graphics. If you missed it on the Wii U, it's a great pick up for the Switch; but if you already played it when it originally released like I did it doesn't add much to make replaying the game a vastly different experience. The new content is nice, in particular some of the epilogue missions and the new multiplayer modes; but on the whole it's not enough to really justify the $60 price tag if you played the game previously. For new players, it's a great pickup, even at $60. If you played it on the Wii U I would still recommend it, but maybe wait for it to go on sale at some point so the value equation makes more sense.
