This game is much larger in scope than the previous game and sort of open world in the sense that you can take your pirate ship and travel anywhere but some areas are harder than others depending on your party's level. Interactions between party members have taken a noticeable step back for some reason but the faction system is much deeper than it was in 1. It'll be interesting to see where the 3 planned DLC packs take this game.
