Great Classic Movie

I watched this on TCM and now I will add to my collection. This is a wonderful story about the struggles in America. The movie made me cry and smile, the actors are great and best of all it has a happy ending! This movie is a lesson in American History, and really I don't know why we never hear about it. Ethel Waters is outstanding in this movie, what a background she has...and why she is not given much credit in American History for her achievements.
