installing this software wasnt as easy as putting in the disk and choosing yes or whatever. I had to go thru the files on the setup disk to find the setup file and double click it. I was under the impression that after i put thte disk in and i hit yes i was done. That wasnt the case. After i ran the setup file it was downloaded. Everything worked as intended. Make sure the device is plugged in before you run the program. The program wouldnt detect the device if the program was already open. I would also like to have been told in the instructions where i can find out how to use the program ie. what diff settings mean, how to use the program, you know the basics. maybe its in a help tab in the program i dont know. Overall you just got to play around with it and it will be worth it in the end.

I had the older version for win xp and I to upgrade to this for win 7-64bit. The software that comes with it is a pain and overly complicated. Other sites and reviews all mentioned just using other 3rd party software instead. I may end up doing that.

This is makes it easy to transfer old VHS movies to digital files. The quality is not the best, but that may be because the quality on the old home VHS videos isn’t the HD I’m used to watching these days. But it does the job.

I had a few VHS tapes that I needed to transfer to DVD and wanted to do it myself and cheaply. The Pinnacle works perfectly. Just make sure you have a VHS player that works.

O K I have so many vhs tapes and digital 8 tapes I needed a simple solution to moving from tape to hard drives. This worked. Just have a set up where you can pull tapes out and keep the work flow moving.

With no FireWire input on my new computer, Needed someway to take my Sony mini DV camera tapes and convert them to my new computer. This did the trick. Easy and simple. Worth the cost.

I initially bought this to use in live capture situation with my computer and to convert some old VHS tapes to digital. While doing an OK job at capturing, I found that unless you have a very fast processor you end up with dropped frames. I have since found an actual (expensive) analog to digital video converter that works much better and allows for some capture tweaks. If you have things that aren't too important, this is an OK, inexpensive solution.

The hardware works great, but the software included only allows minimum adjustments. I ended up buying Movie Star to edit my videos.

Dazzle does what it says, it captures my videos and puts them into a digital format so that I can save them. The videos are a little bit graining, I may be able to clear them up with a little bit of work.

Got this to connect my VCR to my PC to transfer some old home video. Works like a charm, nothign complicated.

Very simple and effective device for uploading video form tape or other sources to a computer file. I was easily able to upload video segments from a Hi8 tape for use in a digital movie production. Super simple to use and no failures or problems. For casual use, WAY more affordable than a dedicated video import card. Highly recommend.

I had dozens of old high school and college game tapes on VHS. I was worried about tape quality degrading over time, so this product was perfect in helping me save and catalog these old films. And it was far less expensive than taking my films to a company to do the transfer. Well worth the money.

The hardware adapter works perfectly (just remember to load the drivers from the included disk before plugging into your PC's USB port). The associated software is easy to use. I no longer need to worry about deterioration of very old tapes!
