This device works so well for transferring video tapes to digital directly to my computer. I am very pleased to find something to make these transfers. I have over 60 video tapes to transfer- so far, it's great! And the price was very reasonable, too.

The software that comes with it will not run on Windows 8.1! Pinnacle support was bs. No support for win 8.1 Best buy would not take it back because the software was opened... How else was I supposed to use it? The salesperson said it was approved for windows 8.1....bs The dongle will not work with any other software . Run away

Got this to go with Pinnacle Studio 20. Had a different "capture" device which was not recognized. I just "plugged" this one in to a usb port and it was able to be used immediately. The quality of the captured video was very good also.

The device does the job. It connects to my VHS/VCR and allows me to copy my recordings into a digital video format, which can than be edited, played and burned to DVD.

Works great. RCA cables are what I use since I am 25' away. Plug and play! Captures do not play the audio while recording, but doesn't seem to be an issue. Even works with the Movavi software I use to edit the videos.

I thought it was easy to use, but the video itself was a bit fuzzy in the end. I converted some old super 8 video's to a DVD , worked fine, but the final video was not the cleanest.

Dazzle is an excellent device the connects an older Hi-8 camcorder (RGB) to my PC via the USB port and upload recorded images.

It works right out of the Box. I am very please with the results. It has some basic software included. Now to start transferring my videos.

This is a Great product.I find it a little hard to understand,but overall.I would recommend this item for anyone planning to transfer vhs.

This will not run on WXP,but is perfect on W7.This is the best on the market to date,and will play display video captue that Roxio will not display, just a blue screen.Let me walk you through it.First hook -up the composite cables[yellow,wite and red rca cables]or s-video to your vcr audio and video output to the dazzle device[the cables are not included],,turn vcr on ,plug usb of Dazzle into computer that is running ,feed program cd and load ,open dazzle and click import. This saves the capture to your hard drive .On the left 'capture to' hit reset and choose custom and type in name you want to call it and hit 'X'. Hit play on vcr and hit ' start capture' .this will play in real time ,if movie is 2 hrs it takes 2 hrs to record so you can do something else for a while.Hit stop capure when done. If movie signal is not great ,shakes etc,click off import to main screen ,double click movie capture and edit movie [enhance ,adjustment ,snapshot and stabilize] befoe you burn a dvd ,In movie ,make titles ,transitions ,in 'Disc' drop completed project , in 'Burn' insert dvd and burn to dvd.[or you can use windows 7 dvd maker which works well too. Make sure you delete the video in dazzle and your video file after you burn it and recyle bin to recover hard drive space this process uses This is important to hard drives less than 1TB.This is a great device, it captures anything and it can do music as well.This is what you want. Ignore the ones that did not know what they were doing in other reviews .I have both Roxio and Dazzle and use Dazzle from Pinnacle Studio only now!

I purchased this to load 8mm videos to my windows 10 computer from an older camcorder. It worked fine with no problems.

I needed to get videos off my mini-dv . This does an OK job. Lose picture quality going from digital to analog thru a USB cable

I found out I did not need it and returned it. I am sure it is great, but don't need it at this time.

My first vhs to dvd conversion worked. I was able to make a good copy to watch on my dvd player.

Was looking for a program to transfer my minidisks.and this adaptor and preogram did it.

This was exactly what I need to save my old family videos from an old camcorder.
