If you want clean loud sound without distortion, this is a receiver for you. Pioneers elite series does not dissapoint! This has everything an audio file needs except Dolby Atmos. So, if you want big sound without an even bigger price tag, Buy this receiver while you still can.

Sounds great and plenty of features. Would recommend to anyone.

great upgrade from old receiver. more power and better sound

This receiver comes with all the features you would want. Plenty of HDMI inputs, application support like Pandora, network connectivity so it can be controlled externally by an iPad. Zone2 functions are good. Setup using the iPad was straightforward. I can't give it 5 stars, as it doesn't seem to drive as much power as other similarly priced receivers, and it has some minor glitches -- jumping back on TiVo sometimes causes the sound to go out entirely. Still, it's a solid performing receiver.

The av unit sound quality is great but the video pass through is lacking

I love this unit. The sound quality is great although it's initial quality is yet to be fully tested. I have had it for less than two months and the HDMI card has gone in it. Being optimistic that this is a rare occasion and not a sign of future reliability.

this receiver offers fantastic sound and great pass through video quality. Easy to setup (the AV commander software worked with my iPad) and tons of hdmi inputs to plug in EVERYTHING you own, this receiver has it all. The 3D/4k pass through was the true buying decision and both work flawlessly. You will not regret purchasing this unit.

We recently moved and had to set up a new home theater system in our basement with DISH TV. The Pioneer receiver was easy to set up with the satellite system and the new TV. The system was also easy to adjust for the best sound in the room. Very pleased with my purchase.

I have used this receiver for about 8 months now and have no complaints. I have multiple devices connected to the inputs and one out to the tv. This makes it nice when changing sources and not needing to change inputs on the tv. It provides upscaling so the pictures look great and the sound is flawless to. I have had no issues so far with this unit. I also like that the app is easy to use and control the settings without having to go through the device itself .

It has enough power to run our speakers inside and outside near the pool. You can't go wrong getting this receiver.

Very easy to setup. Crystal clear output. Operation is intuitive. Give out a lot of power for its size and specifications. The auto calibration is very effective. Helps to improve room sound distribution.

Great Unit w/ great features IF you utilize the features it provides. If you are not interested in wireless streaming, 4k upscaling, or utilizing other items like Roku there are many other units with similar peak power and are less expensive than the original 699.00 pricetag. I got the unit for less than half the original cost while it was on sale, so that made it well worth it. As for connection I got a Linksys Powerline to make my unit internet connected so I could forgo the expensive and pointless Pioneer Bluetooth adapter and just utilize my wireless network for all streaming needs. Note it is not plug and play device and is not Bluetooth enabled so Ipods etc. need drivers so an internet connection is strongly suggested. Only real con is the setup, not as intuitive as one would hope. Using Definitive Tech speakers.

Got the my new pioneer receiver connected to my Dish network Hopper, Blu-Ray disc player and Samsung 4K TV connected and everything sounds awesome! The picture quality on the TV is as great also.

Picked this up on a daily deal for $399.99. Fantastic deal that I could not pass up, and glad that I didn't. Does everything I could want, including 4K pass-through on HDMI inputs.

I had a similar unit that I purchased in '06... this one is up to date... connects to the internet... streams Pandora, radio and connects with all my toys... Sound is high quality!

i bought this stereo for my house and it is killer sounds great shakes the walls a great complement to my 55 inch curved tv

This is a excellent receiver for the person that is serious about music and surround sound at a competitive price. Want to feel like you are in the movie theater this is the receiver for you. It has all the inputs you will need and excellent features. It will take knowledge and time to set up the receiver but it will be well worth it.

Easy to install and great sound. Sync's with the TV's HDMI and goes on standby when you shut off the television! RECOMMEND!

Good dependable quality and easy to operate. Have had Pioneer in the past and always happy. Like the button where I can operate my iPod from the iPod itself.
