I bought this receiver to upgrade to a 3D pass through Receiver so that I wouldn't have to keep connecting and disconnecting my Blu-ray player every time I wanted to watch a 3D movie. This receiver allows me to leave it plugged in. The quality of the sound from this unit is very good.

i got this for half off on some sale they were having. Best receiver ive had to date, the up-scaling is awesome for gaming and watching sports.

Tons of features, upper price features, for mid priced receiver. Has every thing you need. Great sound, for music, or surround sound. Made very well, pretty easy to navigate.

I've been in the car audio world building high end systems for 20 years as a hobby. This was my first home stereo, but it is everything I could have asked for. The UI, when operating through the TV, is sub par. It would not deter my from recommending to a friend.

The Pioneer Elite 1155W was all set up by the Geek Squad with my new Samsung TV and Sony DVD. It sounds great and works perfectly so far as I have only had it installed for two weeks now. Based on other reviews I have read, I know the sound on my new TV would not have been very good and a sound bar would not have been as fantastic as my surround sound system is with this Pioneer receiver. I thank the sales associate at Best Buy for recommending it and the Geek Squad for their professional installation of it since I am not an electronic savy person.

This receiver has great features and works wonderful for multi zone use, we have interior surround for the living room along with we frequently play music on the Lanka around the pool. My only con is that it took a long time to get set up, but the auto setup worked well after we where able to get the clunky interface to work.

The receiver looks good and is very easy to set up

Although it is geared more towards movie watching as opposed to extensive music listening, it does a great job with music as well. A bit tricky to set up, must have some knowledge of A/V components and how they connect to the receiver. Must also be pretty knowledgeable on input / output set up and multiple compatibility settings. Pioneer does offer pretty good tech support and they are not to difficult to get hold of. Anyhow, hope this helps potential buyers.

Its a nice receiver for entry level. It has few limitations for audiophiles, the biggest one is no input for USB DAC. So if you are looking to power Aurum Cantus with this receiver for FLAC files then it would not give you the warm sound....just my opinion. otherwise a very decent receiver

So far so good. Love everything about this item. Do wish it was wireless but ultimately doesn't matter to me.

This is as great a receiver as I have ever purchased. All the functions necessary for a beginner audiophile.

I have a n older built in house speaker system and I wanted to blend this my new surround system. This was the perfect solution for A/B and multiroom. I also like being able to use my mobile device to control. The only thing I do not like are the operating manual is not that helpful in the set up

We bought this to replace our old Radio Shack receiver we had had for 25-30 years. It is very easy to operate and the functions are a breeze to understand!! I really like the feature that lets you hook up a MP3 player! This receiver is eye pleasing, well designed, and takes up less space than our previous receiver!! I am very happy with this product.
