The quality of the sound and the power exceeds my expectations.

This receiver replaces an older Denon in a slightly higher price range than this receiver. The quality is excellent. We heard a distinct improvement in the sound as soon as we began using the new system. We're very pleased with the unit.

This is connected to Definitive Technology 8060ST setup. The MCACC auto Calibration Pro on this model is very nice. While there are options to tweak the settings post calibration, for an amateur the it can be overwhelming. So just running the MCACC pro and leaving it as is is the best setup.

Most get stuck buying a low to mid range Amp , and later get dissatisfied when it comes to features. Yes, it's s bit more expensive , but units like this last for a very long time in terms of capability and quality. Many features that are very useful.

This receiver replaced a 4 year old one that only had 2 HDMI inputs and couldn't handle 4k. Setup can be a challenge if you're not patient. This receiver has a clear sharp sound. I'm using it with a 5.1 speaker setup.

You won't believe your eyes OR ears, in this case. 2 Onkyos died before 2 yrs of age. Cheaper is not always better. Pioneer leading the field in technology as usual. Dolby Atmos is amazing, supports 4K and 3D video with HDMI 2.0. I have a 65" Samsung Plasma TV which has never looked better. Great tools for ease of set up and home theater speaker configurations for 5.1, 5.1.2, 7.1.2, and 9.1.2 channel surround. Plenty of power for "rocking out" to your favorite music as well. If it says "Pioneer" on the front, you won;t be wrong!

Some features missing, but at $800.00, I jumped at the opportunity to by this Atmos receiver with class 'D' power. Did a work around for the phono capability and still had hookups for cassette deck, BD, Cable, TV and Xbox. So far, so good.

Turns out the discount we received on this product was well worth it. Not paying full price for something this nice really paid off in the end.

This Reciever is beyond words, the power it pushes is ridicuious! I recommend if you want to do it, Then do it Right.

I decided to upgrade my home theatre system and felt like the receiver and television were really important... I looked at various models and felt like this one was the best for the price... Surround sound is truly impressive and it is not difficult to operate with the universal remote. Would do it all again but maybe buy a larger big screen...

Not a bad receiver, I had to return the first one because the HDMI portion of it did not work. The second receiver works great, I am pleased with the purchase.

Solid receiver period! Clean powerful sound. Upgraded from Onkyo 787 which was a nice unit but RZ-900 is a step up for sure.

My first receiver that this receiver replaced was a 6yr old htib Onkyo. I recenty (feb 2016) started to upgrade my speakers and I was happy with them. The only question for me was if I would notice a difference if I also upgraded the receiver. I researched on the web and I was really unsure if I needed a receiver to really get the full benefit of my new speakers. Well, I was walking through bestbuy one day and went to look at the receiver. It was on sale. Unadvertised sale for 40% off and I had to grab it then. I'm happy I did! For how much I got it and the room correction and crisper sound it makes, I give it 5 stars. First time I played it, I immediately heard a difference. Every time I ime I play it, I no longer look for more fuller and crisper sound. Features are nice. Bluetooth, usb input playing hires files, room correction of hat checks for phase, etc. love my purchase!

Going from analog world to digital is quite a learning experience. The receiver A/V functions are all programmable from the remote or a Smart / Tablet (use tablet). The weakest links for this receiver is the remote (not backlit, small buttons and uses multi function buttons) and the Tuner (1970's technology) no station program information or HD digital reception. The over-all performance of the A/V is excellent. Read the manual then have fun.

Great clean sound, nice App to control, appears the HDMI auto switching problem has been repaired with this BIOS version.

This receiver is good to go right out of the box. Paired with Klipsch speakers and sub. The sound is amazing

I would recommend this receiver to anyone. The sound is crisp and clear. An excellent investment for the home.

Does everything I wanted...its performance is outstanding. Top quality. No problems with set up. Very pleased.

Only had this receiver a couple weeks but the difference in sound from my other receiver is very noticeable.

Purchased the Pioneer Elite SC-91 receiver after a searching for an AV receiver that could output to two HDMI receivers, A flat panel TV and a projector. The SC-91 handles this task easily while also handling the output to the various speakers. Different sound stages can easily be managed with the include calibration tools. The smart phone app for Android works great and allows further customization. The unit fits my needs perfectly. Only time will tell as to the quality but from what I found so far it is great. The only issue I had was with the HDMI cables sometimes losing connection with the output on the receiver. I solved this but purchasing screw in HDMI locking cables and now they are securely in place and I haven't had any issue with signal quality since installing them
