Great Reciever for high fidelity system

I updated my system from a Harman Kardom system to the Pioneer elite and you can hear the difference in the quality of the sound. The options in the new Reciever are impressive. To connect the PC I had to use the HDMI input for cable/sat and use the RCA inputs.Cons: If you have more than one HDMI input that need analog inputs you are in trouble.

Great sounding receiver for music and movies

I had been thinking about this and the SC-95 receiver for a while, but was unable and unwilling to pull the trigger at the retail pricing. I wandered into the Magnolia room yesterday at my local Best Buy and found these both at terrific unadvertised sale prices, ostensibly due to impending new model releases. I purchased the SC-91, as a replacement for my 2010 model SC-35. This one was a little more difficult to set up than the 35 was, but didn't take that long. After running the MCACC PRO, this receiver actually sounds better than my older one, which was a $1600 receiver when new. Music sounds great like it did on my 35, but perhaps a little more detailed. I'm enjoying the wi-fi, and the ability to control the receiver completely with my Ipad. The Airplay and the Bluetooth are great additions, as is the MHL HDMI in on the back, for my Amazon Fire Stick, which I used to have to plug into the back of the TV and run an optical cable from the tv to the receiver. Now I get the same great sound results from the Fire Stick as I do with Blu-Rays or tv programs or movies. All in all, a great find at a great price at Best Buy. Check it out!!!

I had this receiver for one day and returned it, I was going to get a Marantz but saw this on sale, I spent some time trying to set it up, I could not get the wifi to work. I had a Yamaha for years before it died and I picked up the RX850 when I brought the Pioneer to the store for an exchange, it was easy for me to set up since I was use to the Yamaha. The pioneer had good specs and features, but for me the UI was not easy like the Yamaha.

bought this to replace my 5 year old Denon for more juice. sounded ok when hooked this up with a new B&W 3 way Center. Just to compare I hooked my Denon up and was blown away. My speakers came to life and the pioneer was not even close. The Denon Audyssey is far superior and easy to use and the sound was bar none superior. Stick with Denon or Marantz.
