love radio. Ignor all the bad reviews. I was reading them and most of them were from Geek Squad screwing up the installs. Take it somewhere to have it professionally installed and you will love it. Could use an hdmi input so i can use my firestick more easly then the way I had to go around and make it work, it can be done though. Pioneer is for clean sound quality, and that is what this receiver does.

Great deck. Fast startup and loading time -- much more so than my deck. CarPlay comes up in less than 5 seconds from starting the car. Raised buttons on the left side of the panel are much better than touchscreen only, and the middle button is raised a tiny bit above the rest which makes it easy to feel where the volume buttons are (just above that middle button). So, great deck, fast, radio is fine (don't use it much). No crashing or erroring at all in CarPlay

Fantastic upgrade from a receiver that doesn't have apple carplay without breaking the bank! This radio does have a few issues however, well i should say its either the radio or the installation (i used best buy installation). every once in a while the radio will not turn on when the car turns on ; the remote will not work with the radio every once in awhile ; and it is picky with which cords you use, mine only likes to work with original apple cords aftermarket ones it will randomly disconnect from apple carplay OR not connect at all.

This is an upgrade from a previous Pioneer radio. The HD radio really is an improvement over analog. Android auto works like a charm.

Wanted a stereo with Android Auto. Pioneer never disappoints. Loaded with features and easy to use. Better than the factory unit in the wife's VW Golf.

Now I can use Apple CarPlay, which means Siri will text my buddies for me, Google Maps will provide directions via audio and map on the display (that I can actually see!), and it's easy to control my music hands free. It makes my 2011 vehicle feel at least 5 years newer inside. I will note that the install at Best Buy wasn't flawless, and a couple of unrelated components of my truck were not returned to their correct positions. This was easy enough to fix. The installation was otherwise good, fast, and free, so I'm not complaining.

I was looking for a stereo for my older vehicle and the sales representative recommended the Pioneer -6.8. I LOVE THIS STEREO. The only question I ask myself is "Why Did I Wait So Long To Buy It?" The system looks beautiful in the vehicle and operates like the factory system that came in my newer vehicle. The sound is great. Now my son and daughter in law are considering replacing their stereo systems & they have newer cars. They love the Pioneer -6.8 too!!

I cant describe the feeling of psychological freedom I felt when removing the phone mount from my windshield. This device has worked very well for me so far for Android Auto and Apple Car Play. It also improved the sound of my stereo system to boot. But the big win is having the phone (after 10 years of phones in windshields) out of view and having hands free phone functions put where they belong, in the center of the dash. I feel like I have a functioning car again after so many years of in dash radios that dont really do anything anymore.

Loving it so far! I've had it a couple of weeks and it is just what I was looking for. Bigger screen and Carplay. Don't hesitate.

it Was a good deal for the price. It has a cd/dvd player, allows two phones to be connected by Bluetooth at once, nice screen size, and comes with a remote!

Radio is good but I bought it at best buy and had free installation but the installation guy he said he could not do it die to the fact there would be cutting of the Studs in the inside .... well he was 100 percent wrong took it to the stero shop they installed it with no problems at all and no cutting involved was done in 35 minutes so best buy cost me money to have the radio installed somewhere else when they should of done it for free they need to get better people who knows what they are talking about very disappointed

Great sound, I love how it's able to push my speakers without an amp. You won't be disappointed with this unit. And it had Android auto.

I bought this receiver for the Apple CarPlay and its great. For the CarPlay to work your iPhone has to be hooked up via usb but it throws the CarPlay apps on the screen. You can have navigation running through maps and hands free calling and text messaging. If your phone isn’t hooked up via usb, it will connect via Bluetooth for streaming your phones music. Not as good as CarPlay but it works. I’m very happy with this purchase and got free installation promo even though I purchased all the wiring harnesses and dash kit elsewhere.

Ordered Black Friday and was installed in 2014 Jeep Patriot by BB in December. Works great with backup camera, car play, and Apple Maps.

The system is easy to operate the price was great and the Best Buy team was very helpful and knowledgeable my whole experience was great

great radio. apple play works great has all the apps from my phone. sounds great.

I wanted an Apple Play receiver and this one was perfect. The sound is clear, and the controls are straight forward. Overall, great purchase!
