Unit is a great replacement model that allows the use of apple carplay. Unit must be plugged in in order to operate, WiFi CarPlay is not available. But the unit all in all is with the value.

With the ability to fine tune the sound, this Pioneer receiver brought my Ford F-250 premium sound system up to a whole new level. I did the install myself which was easier than anticipated. All in all, this has stepped my 2008 Ford pickup up to a fun level of todays auto audio electronics.

Great replacement for my old stereo. Sound is excellent and screen is clear. It takes time to learn how to access all functions of the software. Known issue with Spotify and Pioneer units so you have to connect through bluetooth or Android Auto but iphones work fine using the radio app.

This head unit has so many features, still learning them all. Bought the unit for my wife's truck, so she could use the hands free, touch screen. She was apprehensive to start with, but she loves it now. It works great, with out a bunch of steps to go though to set it up each time. Simply plug in the USB , and BAM your up and running! Love the Waze app on it, really helps with traffic.

Excellent mid level radio. Many features of more expensive units, like DVD/CD playback, HD radio, and EQ settings. Good hands free sound quality and multi Bluetooth connection. BB install guys in PWC VA did a great job and were done in less than 90 minutes. Highly recommend the unit and the installation.

Pioneer 1550 was described as having HD radio in online catalog. Didn't find out it didn't until it was installed by great guys and gals at Best Buy. Offered to replace it with similar with HD and I accepted. Two weeks later had a new Pioneer 2550 installed no charge, no fuss. Great service. Delighted, they even got my Sirius service transferred.

This is the second Pioneer receiver that I have purchased this year to upgrade both of my older vehicles. I have been pleased with the functionality of both units and they have exceeded my expectations. The Best Buy Geek Squad did an excellent job of installing the units. My intent was to upgrade to hands free phone capability but this unit provides much more with great HD sound!

Great Radio. All the features I want, great integration with my phone, excellent Android Auto Integration, BUT, you get what you pay for with the Free Installation. They did a crappy job. They did not test the satellite so I will have to fix that this weekend. The fan for my heater/defroster stopped working. When i asked to have it looked at, they kept trying to schedule another appointment but with the cold weather, it made my only vehicle undrinkable. It was a safety concern. I took it apart myself and found the fan switch NOT PLUGGED IN!!!!!!. I will try a different location for anything else. The 72nd and Dodge East store in Omaha, NE did not address the problem in a timely manner when they screwed it up. This is not acceptable. I wonder if he broke my antenna connection as well. I recommend the product highly, however, the store I will not.

This receiver was installed on July 4th but so far it has exceeded my expectations. I like the Apple Car ability it has. I also really like that the SiriusXM stations have 3 separate access points to program-in your favorite stations. I hope my satisfaction of this receiver continues for years to come ..

The sound from this radio is great, but when you're listening to non-HD FM radio stations, the song/artist display has a couple bugs. First, it only works with RDS RT+, not the regular RDS most radio stations use. Pioneer didn't implement backwards compatibility, so for a lot of stations, you won't see the info they're sending. Secondly, when listening to stations that do use RDS RT+, it shows the song/artist when you first tune to the station, but then when the song changes, the display doesn't change. In other words, it keeps showing the first song you listened to, not the ones that come afterwards. I'm thinking of exchanging it for the Kenwood DDX6706S which appears to have excellent RDS functions. And a minor inconvenience: you can't mute the volume quickly...you have to hold down the mute button for 2-3 seconds before it activates. And the buttons to raise/lower volume are very small. I use the remote control as a work-around to these two problems. Other than that, this radio has a lot of nice features and made my stock speakers sound so much better.

This was a super good buy especially with free geek squad installation. Mainly bought to replace the factory system in an f150. Was looking for something with CarPlay and a physical media player. The UI is easy to navigate and setting up was simple. Would recommend. Only thing I would look for that this doesn’t have would be a glass screen to simulate and phone touch screen.

Got this to replace my stock unit in my 2008 Jeep Commander which had started glitching. This unit covers most of what my old unit had plus more. I like the customizable display, Android audio is nice so that I can have the navi and other phone functions on screen, I only wish I didn't have to plug it in for those extra features. The blue tooth connects automatically everytime I get in the car, no issues there. I do notice that ppl can't hear me as well as they used to on the factory speaker when I'm in a call. I dropped a star due toa couple small issues. Apparently, because it's a Jeep, with the factory amp and 6 speakers, I can't use the fader. All speakers end up the same volume. I miss that. Also, I wish that the display was configured a little differently when I listen to music on blue tooth. I can't read the whole titles and artists since there is a text box over it. As a whole though, it's great!
