I've owned Sony V700s, A&H Xone 53s, used Pioneer 1000s, Sennheiser HD25ii, and these feel absolutely fantasic. The Xone 53s were too big for my head, and the V700 even though industry standard in the early 2000s hurt my ears when wearing for prolonged time, and the sound quality wasn't phenomenal.
I bought these in white because they're pretty, but the sound quality is amasing! They also have magnesium for the pivot joint so they won't break unlike most of the others I've mentioned (Sennheiser apart.) 3.5W is more than enough to compensate for external noise of a club, and way more than you need for your possible future tinnitus case, although these are louder than the 1000s, and others so you won't get tinnitus as quickly. I also recommend wearing earplugs with any pair of headphones as people like the turn the monitor up way too high (for all you DJs out there.)
