Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Elite 1665W's sound quality, ease of use, and powerful performance, with many praising its ability to handle various audio formats like Dolby Atmos and 4K video. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the receiver's heat generation and the design of the remote control. The high price point was also cited as a potential drawback by a few users. Overall, the positive feedback on audio performance and ease of setup outweighs the negative comments.

I have always been biased toward Pioneer, even more so after I purchased their ELITE brand. This is my second ELITE receiver and I have been extremely happy with it. I upgraded to this unite for the 3 Zones. I am using 5.1 in my living room, another zone for a speaker in my bathroom and the 3rd zone will be used soon for outdoor speakers. Cool.

I have no real complaint except for the price. Its a little expensive, but I love this A/V receiver so far. Now I just need to get a 4K Blu-ray to take advantage of the Atmos. Price is the only reason for the 4 stars.

Had a previous Pioneer Elite that did not support current pass through technology, so replaced with another Elite receiver with current pass through technology. Excellent with 3D and 4K pass through. Supports all my components and even has a phono input. Good receiver.

The Pioneer Elite Home Theatre Receiver was our choice because my husband is hard of hearing and it has a very good Audio (voice) control, he can turn the voice up very loudly.

The manufacture has provided a new Manual that is far better then the previous Red one. The new one is Blue and has both Basic and Advanced sections. Also, more information is provided to help understand all the great settings and usage.

I had to return it. I was used to a processor and amp combo. A Rotel. I returned the pioneer and got a Anthem AVM60 processor. Night and day difference. Absolutely a huge sound difference in all aspects. Pay a little more but you get why you pay for. It was well worth it.

This receiver has it all. Dolby Atmos and DTS-X decoding, ample HDMI inputs, plus the auto MCACC channel and volume setup is a breeze. Remote has far fewer buttons than previous models, but can be learned easily. Great high end receiver

I have owned several Pioneer Elite receivers. All have been great performers and this one is no exception. Easy to setup and operate and the fact that it sounds fantastic is icing on the cake!

I was always a fan of Pioneer so I purchased this one in complete confidence that not only would it sound great but it would last a long time. I wasn't a fan of the sound coming from this unit. It has poor channel separation and the Atmos from this receiver is less impressive than the Marantz receiver I currently own for another room. 4 months into owning the device I started to get video cut outs. I thought it was the HDMI cable so I changed to another one. Same thing happened. I called Pioneer and the person on the line was rude and condescending. They said to get a shorter HDMI cable and so I did. Same thing kept happening. The video would either cut out or I would get half the display showing while the other half was fine for a few seconds and then it would go back to normal. I called Pioneer again and they told me that it's most likely my HDMI cable and that if I wanted to get this unit fixed I would have to pay to ship it to them. This new person I spoke to at Pioneer support was also rude. I got annoyed and decided to take the Marantz from the other room and try it in this location. Of course the cable that worked on the Pioneer when i first got it 4 months ago worked perfectly. So did the other cables I purchased. I contacted Best Buy and they were willing to let me return the unit and I got the Marantz SR 6013 instead. It's working great and sounds better than this unit. Save yourself the time and hassle and just get a Marantz or Denon. Pioneer doesn't stand by their product.

Got a price match on this for 1299. Unbelievable deal. Very clean sound. Not the loudest reciever. Lacks the yamaha wow factor but makes up for it in cleaness, and channel seperation
