Was recommended by a friend and I'm very happy with the level of performance. Needed a compact design to fit inside an end table to save space.

I bought this to be used with a large Vizio Soundbar. I could of bought a soundbar system with a subwoofer, but I was unsure if I was going to want a subwoofer or not. Decided to add a subwoofer and this one works good. Good thumping audio.

I thought that because this was cheaper than other subwoofers that the sound quality was not going to be that good. But once I set it up, OMG! It can really shake the room! I would buy it again!

after having my technics sub for 16 years die on me , we looked at several brands and compared them. Most are basically the same depending on how loud and the power you want and can range from 60.00 to 400.00. This Pioneer, has great pure sound, and the price is right for any wallet. The only problem was the manual says use a single right or left channel RCA plug for it but it kept shutting off our receiver without using a y splitter and using both rt and left plugs in to sub. also if you have a newer receiver redo your balance for the best sound and performance

Had a much larger woofer and this one is smaller thought it would not match the sound of the old one but it did with good quality sound.

This Pioneer subwoofer was very good for its cost. I don't think you could actually find a better sub in the $150 range that puts out crisp lows and is able to blend in with your home theater. Compared to my Klipsch R-110SW however, it doesn't come anywhere close. If you are looking to build a home theater on a budget I would definitely recommend this speaker. The Pioneer Center Channel and Bookshelf speakers are also very good for the price. I am not familiar with the higher end Pioneer Andrew Jones models, but if you want to spend more I highly recommend the Klipsch Reference series. Every time my friends come over and watch a game or movie they leave wanting to update their home theater because of the amazing sound quality. it took several thousand dollars and several years of patience. So, in summary, if you are on a tight budget and want a decent sub to hit those lows for you, don't hesitate and buy this subwoofer.

Designed by Andrew Jones, this sub sounds amazing with only a 14inch footbrint. This filled my 15X15 room with rattling bass.

We were impressed on how the difference was with this subwoofer. It makes it more enjoyable to listen to music and movies.

This sub was easy to hook up and it sounds great. It provides lots of bass for my Home Theater.

I bought this subwoofer for my onkyo system as backup. But we loved this pioneer subwoofer so much. Every weekend me and my family watch movies using onkyo and enjoy the action movie's sound effects on this subwoofer.

For the price it has solid, strong bass. The subwoofer is actually on the bottom of the box, thought that was weird but I know little to nothing about audio.

I love this bass speaker. We have one for our surround sound for the TV and bought one for our sound equipment that we use for singing. Excellent purchase!

I purchased this subwoofer as part of my home theatre system and it is a great product. It has a stylish design that I am happy with and the price was reasonable.

I love the sound and the price but I don't like the fact that you have to turn it off totally because even if the home theater system is off you could hear a small noise coming out of the subwoofer...

We have been very pleased with our subwoofer which powers our movie theater room. The bass is amazing and really brings those blue ray and 1080p movies to life.

My old sub woofer was getting old and didn't give me the ooomph that I was looking for. This one did the trick. It really improved the quality of sound.

I have had this speaker for over two year. My other speaker blew-out and I was searching for something that would work with my existing system. This proved to be the perfect speaker with near perfect sound. I couldn't have chosen a better speaker for the price. Deep base, nice mids and lows. Makes my music and movies sound as they are intended, and in some cases better.

I picked up a pair of these, one in-store and one ship to store to go with my Denon AVR-X4000. The first one hummed when power was applied, most noticibly via the port in front. The bright blue light is annoying (!!) but electrical tape fixed that. The second one hummed too, but instead of getting rid of them, I did this ... I took my accessories (AppleTV, Chromecast, x360, BluRay Player) and the two Subs and put them on their own power strip. Now, I kill the power to the strip when not in use and the hum is gone. Hey -- maybe I'm saving the earth too. Go me.

My old sub blew out so I took a chance on this one as a replacement. It works great! Rattles everything in the room! That's what you want, naturally.

Great sound for the money going to buy two more this summer using the first two outside for poolside theater they make a big difference in the sound
