It's got a nice low, rich sound to it. This is the first time I ever got a power subwoofer and I love it.

have multiple amps and hooked this up on all of them to see which it worked best with and was happy with the result . I did not have to break the bank to get the bass bump I was looking for

Great ....... great I bought this to add some bass to my home theater and I was a little nervous because of the price but I turned out to be the perfect addiction that I needed excellent bass without being overwhelming ... I would to anyone who's trying to add the perfect amount off bass to there home system

This replaced a Sony 50 watt home theater system subwoofer that was blown due to a power surge (make sure you get a good quality high-joule rating surge protector to protect all your equipment, it's worth it). The Pioneer blows the old Sony out of the water in all respects, it sounds dang fine and doesn't cause the vibration the old Sony sub would cause, while turning the living room into a real butt-kicker movie stage. It has a power standby mode switch that turns on the power when it senses signal to the speaker, otherwise it goes into sleep mode. Don't be confused when you see all the various plugs in the back of the Pioneer sub. If you have a single sub cable from your old system that single sub cable goes, if I remember correctly, in the left output plug and you're ready to enjoy this blaster. Excellent value, especially if you can get it on sale.

My 5.1 setup consists of this sub, along with other Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers. Paired with the Denon AVR-S910W, it sounds great.

The subwoofer was a little tricky setting up, buy a subwoofer cable for best and easy installation. Sound of the subwoofer sounds great.

I forgot how much fun it was to watch a movie with surround sound. This sound box has amazing bass and makes you feel what is going on.

The bottom loaded sub is by far my favorite sub so far. It produces floor shaking bass and it puts you right there in the scene.

Good subwoofer for your surround sound system. Only wish they would cover the port so your kids can't throw things in them

Was using my 12" woofers on the main front speakers, but when I upgraded to this sub-woofer, the base is much better. It can shake the house when volume it loud.

I purchased this subwoofer due to my other going out and i was a lil hesitant at first but after dialing it in ITS GREAT .

I needed a sub to compliment my newly acquired Yamaha A/V381 from Best Buy. The living room I have isn't that big but I needed sufficient bass to enhance my sound. The Pioneer more than fit the bill. At 5 feet away you can feel the air being moved from this box that sounds much larger. When I go to another part of the house to listen even commercials sound cinematic and huge. The profile on this unit is such that my friends never knew it was part of my entertainment system, they didn't even see it!! Run don't walk and git ya one!!
