Good addition to current audio surround system. Once we figured out the settings that were right for our house, it has been working perfectly.

I had an old none amplified sub. I just purchased a new home theater amp and I needed to buy a new amplified amp. The sound is great none distorted sound. Crisp base even at low night volume. Just love my new sub.

This is likely considered to be an entry level subwoofer. For the price it really sounds great. I heard some in the store that sounded marginally better but were priced at double or more. For my purposes this unit did just fine for half the cost. It has minimal setup adjustments. Some my not like this but I preferred it. I like good sound but am not an audiophile and wouldn't really know how best to fine tune it anyway. I just want it to turn on and work. One nice feature is that the unit recognizes whether there is a signal for the subwoofer or not when watching different TV stations. It powers up or down on its own based on that recognition.

Good sound quality and goes great with the Pioneer speakers and Receiver I bought to go with it!

I was using HTIB so far and this is my first move to configuring a home theater. I needed something different and just then one of my friend suggested to try this out. I was impressed with the Towers that match with this subwoofer. Though there was not one on the shelf to test/try available at Best Buy I bought this along with the 2 Towers, Center and Bookshelf in May 2013. No regrets, undoubtedly this is a good upgrade for me. Product sounds great for listening to music, effects are felt at above 1/4th line or less than half the max volume. However, when it comes to movies the product so far hasn't performed as great as with music. One issue I had at setup - This subwoofer was not working when it is placed at 8' to 10' away from the receiver though system could recognize existence of a subwoofer at the time of auto calibration/setup. I had to move it closer to the receiver to see it working. I use one of the Pioneer's flag ship receivers and this was the result.

I have been down the Audiophile path and spent 10's of thousands on "High End" audiophile gear (still have most of it). I can attest that there is a sharp drop in return on investment at the upper levels of audio gear. Yes it gets better, but you really pay for a small improvements. So there is a place for affordable equipment. At this price, this sub-woofer over delivers. I purchased it for a modest media room (65' Samsung LED TV, Pioneer VSX-1123, and the Pioneer SP-PK52FS speaker system). Using the room acoustic mapping program on the VSX-1123, I was able to dial in the bass response for the room. I am very pleased with the overall ease of use and the performance of the sub-woofer. I mostly use it for listening to movies. If I were using it for music primarily, then I might look for more powerful design, as the sharpness of this unit is it's week point. You might say it could use more punch. However, for movies in my smallish room it works fine.

This subwoofer really makes movies and games sound great! It's exactly what I was looking for.

Sounds great! Easy hook up. Only thing I wish is you could turn it on and off with a remote

....especially for the money. Sound quality is comparable to those far more expensive.

We have a theatre set up and after we plugged the subwoofer in the sound that we have makes you feel like you're in the movie.

This sub gets me in trouble with the neighbors. So much more power than the polk audio I was considering. It rattled on the shelves at best buy, but when I got it home it sounded terrific. I highly recommend this product.
