Is great film starring Johnny Depp as a pirate however they just want to milk the money Disney they could have easily put this in a Box set however they want to put the last movie out and now the 1st movie what next

What can I say about this movie? I feel the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie is the best so I was very excited to see it re-released in 4K. Definitely an exciting adventure that everyone should watch.

Most anyone by now has seen this film which has done gangbusters in renewing people's interest in Pirates films. This one isn't my favorite as that goes to the second film Dead Man's Chest which I know I'm in the minority but still loved it nonetheless. Great Blu-ray + fantastic story equals win! Highly recommended.

Again, not a review about the movie but rather the product itself. I really like it when they do a combo pack. I am Blu-ray 100%, but it's really nice when they throw in a DVD in there as well. Blu-rays are much more resistant to scratching than regular dvds are, but it's nice they give us both formats for the nice price.

The best movie of the bunch. A little darker plot than the others but lots of great dialogue and threads and characters that weave throughout the rest of the movies. Some scenes may be too much for young kids, but lots of laughs.

I remember seeing the first teaser trailer for this movie and wondering how they could base a movie on the ride... Well, they pulled an ace out on this one. But enough has been said about the movie, so I'll give you quick rundown on this Blu-ray release: great picture, great sound, and a solid amount of extras; in other words, a great release!

Okay, if you are someone who loves "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" like myself, then DO NOT buy this movie on 4K! Keep your Blu-ray or DVD copies! Yes, the movie itself is great, and the packaging for this copy looks great, but the transfer on the 4K disc is AWFUL! The grain is removed, and they placed this dark gray-ish tint throughout the entire film in the 4K which makes all of the daytime scenes look like the film takes place all throughout the evening. And worst of all, you know how in the previous blu-ray had the 2-discs: One for the film with minor bonus material and the Second with all of the bonus material that lasts up to 2-3 hours of content, yeah, you will NOT get that disc 2 in this release, but you do get the same blu-ray disc, which has the movie, from that same 2-disc blu-ray set, and it says "Disc 1" labeled on it. But, you do NOT get "Disc 2", that is RIDICULUS! Then again, it's Disney, and they stopped putting in the effort into their movies when made on 4K as of recent years with catalog titles. But with newer titles, they'll make it look good for you. Overall, I give this 4K release as of whole a 2/5. Like I said, if you have your previous Blu-ray or DVD copies of this film, KEEP THEM! When you have your film on a standard Blu-ray disc and put it in a 4K player that can convert your Blu-rays to 4K with a 4K tv, DO IT! It makes the film look BETTER! Trust me, you will not regret it! The movie itself, I give it a solid 5/5. Common Disney, you can, you should, and you must DO BETTER!

Finally upgraded from DVD to Blu Ray. What a Difference! Such great cinematography, costumes and set details can now be fully appreciated in Blu Ray format. If you love this movie upgrade now and get a whole new perspective on this film. See things you never have seen before on the blu ray. A must have for any Pirates fan! Great price too.

I saw the film in a theater on its release and bought the DVD early on. The 4k picture was phenomenal. Really brought back the theater experience.

This was purchased because I'm upgrading many movies from DVD to BluRay. This is the first movie of the series an I still think it's the best. There's so much more detail in this version that you can see. Of course, there's a decent story so the media is secondary. Happy to have upgraded,

This movie is almost 20 years old and still holds up. It's an amazing movie with a fantastic performance from Depp in the middle of it. The only downside is that the 4K transfer is not the best. Disney dropped the ball here.

Extremely enjoyable and creative adventure that must have been a shock to Disney that it actually worked. Johnny Depp and crew bring this one into the pantheon of pulp entertainment. With a beautiful 1080p transfer and great special features this is one not to miss! Extremely recommended!

This first Pirates movie is a real fun movie and I remember how taken aback my friends and I were when we first saw it. It's great to be able to watch it again in HDR. Just wish the sequels were half as good.

Curse of the Black Pearl is the first of 5 movies that follow the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow. Though other films in the series have been good, this film is the best of the series. It is filled with adventure, humor, and everything you could want from a pirate film.

Haven’t seen in many years. The curse of the black pearl better than what I remembered. Love Captain Jack Sparrow and hopefully he returns for no 6

What an amazing score! The soundmix just pulls you into the movie! Hanz Zimmer...what else an be said. Nice 4k transfer and soundmix. One for any collection!

The first of the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl set the bar very high for the films to follow. The whole cast did a wonderful job nailing their characters, and I absolutely love this movie! A modern day classic that goes great with any blu-ray collection.

FINALLY. I just wish it had better HDR and less DNR. That said, still better looking than the 4K stream. Now, let's get 2, 3, and 4 so I can finish them all off in 4K. Since.. I now have 1 and 5.

I have the complete set of the Pirates of the Caribbean series in DVD. I purchased this version to upgrade to BluRay in my movie library. I enjoy the story lines and the action sequences in this series.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4k is a great transfer. The colors were great and the picture was sharp. I just wish it would have came in a box set with the rest
