I like planet audio
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didnt buy this particular amp..but I stand by Planet audio pl1200 amps..that is the one i have in my car right now. The truth is you cant use this amp as a 2 channel amp..you MUST USE IT IN BRIDGE MODE...AS A 1 CHANNEL AMP. I'm running 2 kenwood ps3016w 12 in subs in individual potted boxes.. I wired them in series on 1 bridged channel. Now I know each of my subwoofer can take 2000 watts each.. and I'm only using 1200 watts for both...but it makes my suv bump..shakes the mirror of the glass..and makes people nausea who cant handle the bass. So I'm saving up for the planet audio 5000 watt amp . As I know it's the most bang on a budget. And PS..my amp NEVER OVERHEATS.. IF IT DOES, YOUR DOING SOMETHING WRONG. make sure it has enough air ventilation around it..you can also make a raised amp holder to make air flow above and below it..or add a fan. Alot of people blame the equipment when you could put a little effort and thought into it and not have issues.. Anyway..good luck.. Planet audio is Bass on a Budget.. Def QUALITY products.

Defective Unit before 1 year marker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this amp brand new a little over year ago to date. I really enjoyed it, easy set up and install. Provided great sound quality for my subwoofer. Unfortunately before the year marker it became defective and goes directly into protect mode when turning it on. I have it powering a 12” Sundown Audio sub. During peak performance I absolutely loved the product, a little disappointed to be parting ways with the amp so soon.

It has a horrible bass sounds almost like a distraught mouse got caught up in some metal wires or something. Store will not refund because it has been too long.
