I absolutely loved the first Planet Earth DVD set, and this is even better!!! I will buy a 4K Tv just to watch this again and again. The picture is amazing on my old Panasonic G25, it has to be incredible on 4K... Beautifully filmed, scripted and put together. A must have for anyone with an interest in nature and top quality film making. I would give this a 5 star PLUS!!! How do you top this!?!

I have always been a fan of the BBC Planet Earth series. This new version exceeded my expectations. I am lucky enough to have a Samsung K8500 UHD Blu Ray player and 65" 4K TV. When played the images are rich and dramatic. Sir Attenborough's narration makes this an incredible experience. If you have a UHD player and 4K TV with HDR, this disk will restore your faith in visual and audio richness.

As a fan of planet earth I, this was a definite buy for me. However, although I had expectations, the advancement in camera technology and blu ray high def has certainly improved the viewing experience. They did a great job of capturing these moments and I liked the behind the scenes looks to help you truly appreciate what they went through. This is an experience not to be missed.

Having purchased a Sony 4k blu ray player, I am slowly adding titles in true 4k to my video collection. Planet Earth 2 is amazing. Some of the images are so crisp and clear you feel you could reach out and touch the picture. Great disk to see nature in all its beautiful glory from around the world. Narration is good and a disc you can easily view over and over.

The content of it is truly amazing. I'm also impressed by the extraordinary quality of 4K provided! This is definitely the best 4K I got so far. I've watched some 4K movie but none of them can match the quality of planet Earth 2, from image perspective. You can see every single hair of the animal, super vivid color landscape. Everything is truely amazing! I finally find the 4K show I expected!

If you want to see what true 4K looks like on your TV set, do yourself a favor and let this documentary series show you. Six beautifully narrated episodes show how gorgeous our planet is and how much I personally still don't know about it. Visuals are second to none but it offers more than visuals, it also offers a small insight to the beautiful world that we don't see every day.

As a huge fan of the original planet earth(I have the blu ray version), I went into this purchase with very high expectations And I have to say this the planet earth 2 team really outdid themselves They exceeded every expectation I had The quality of this series has to be seen to believe If you have a 4K TV and you enjoy nature shows, the 4K version of this series is a must have.

had already watched the first Planet Earth, but having the chance to watch this second go-round in 4K UHD was quite the exciting prospect. really sat enthralled and spent almost a whole day watching each and every episode contained in these 3 discs. on My Samsung 4K HDR TV, the images just popped off of the screen, and the subject matter itself is interesting enough to keep one captured.

Astonishing is but one word to use for this UHD planet earth II set. If you want to see your UHD display at its best this is the set of disks to have. Besides the resolution the content is very educational. Everyone should see this set of DVDs. I have a Vizio display panel P series AND this set of DVDs shows this panel off like no other, absolutely incredible. Should be required watching.

We recently purchased a new large screen 4K TV with HDR and a DVD player to go with it. We wanted a DVD to show the full capabilities of the TV and this certainly fits the bill. The photography is amazing and the animals are fascinating. We own the original Planet Earth DVD and the content on Planet Earth II is equal to it, but the 4K is a clear step up visually. Highly recommend.

I have absolutely loved the original Planet Earth series along with all of the other series BBC Earth has produced since that first came out. This is by far the best yet. Not only because of the 4K formatting, but also knowing how much time, effort, and thought was put into this makes it even better than the first. Best part is Sir David Attenborough narrating the series still.

Technology has come a long way since Planet Earth was released over 10 years ago. The result: you feel like you're hunting, running, flying or swimming alongside the wildlife captured in this sequel. Simply stunning work and David Attenborough paves the way for another successful interpretation of our natural world and the challenges it faces to remain intact.

I’ll be honest. I only got this to see the true potential of my new 4K tv. Some of the footage, especially the beginning, is not 4K. Don’t be alarmed, it’s not your tv. That changes quickly however. The rest of the documentary is 4K and also super entertaining. I’ve watched this video a number of times. It’s really good, and looks even better.

Similar to the first planet earth, the second edition is just as good. There are amazing shots of wildlife and I loved watching the scenes that showed what the camera crew went through to get these shots. My only complaint is when they mimic an eagle flying, the way it was edited together with an actual eagle flying was weird. Besides that, still amazing.

BBC did themselves proud again. Excellent filming again of nature in its finest color and action. Ad 4K and HDR to make it the most outstanding visual look at nature you have ever seen. The detail on the screen is incredible and visibly stunning,the colors have the vastes range of colors imaginable. Each time you watch it you will awe at nature wonders.

If you are interested in the natural world and if you are interested in FANTASTIC video, this set is one to own. It is an impressive companion to Planet Earth that came out years ago, and which was an impressive set in its own right. This one benefits from the advances in technology that captures the images - and viewing on an HD/UHD television, the images pop!

If you recently purchased a nice 4K TV, perhaps an OLED you might be wondering what to watch? Or are you having buyers remorse for spending too much on that TV? Well this is your cure! Beautiful picture, great narration, and information. Blue Planet does it again, this is well worth the price and will "wow" any friends when they see it on your new TV.

I was totally blown away with the detail in 4K (and I don't even have HDR!). The only thing missing would be an audio track recorded in Dolby Atmos, especially with Hans Zimmer's soring score. This is defiantly worth watching many times. The cinematography is nothing short of amazing. The set took years to make, and it is well worth the wait. Highly recommended.

The documentary is excellent. It's the 4k/UHD format that makes the visual and immersion into the documentary all the better. With technology like remote camera, drones, etc - makes you feel like you are right there. Such incredible pictures and beauty. Makes me want to hug a tree hugger. You won't be disappointed. Viewed on Samsung 4k TV and Oppo 203 4k player.

Simply put, if you have a 4K HDR TV you need Planet Earth II. Not only are the episodes interesting on their own, but the video quality is simply amazing. There is a huge variety of locations that really shows what an HDR set is capable of. The colors are rich and vibrant while looking completely real to life. Details on the shots they achieved are impressive.
