If you truly need to see what your 4K HDR TV really looks like, and not the streaming stuff on YouTube ( which some stuff does look good) this DVD was filmed specifically in 4K HDR and man, does the color pop right out. Only suggestion, wait till it goes on sale before purchasing disc. And buy a good HDR cable. It does help.

If you have a 4k player and a 4k tv this is totally worth the money. Is 2 discs not 1. The footage, takes, angles are superb!! I was debating wether I should spend the money or not, but I'm so happy I did. Unless you don't like nature or animal documentaries. Otherwise go for it! It really shows your tvs full potential.

I bought this after purchasing an Xbox One X and TCL 4K television and wanted to put my setup to the ultimate disk. After buying Planet Earth II on 4K blu ray, I can honestly say that was the best looking movie/documentary series I have ever seen. Such high quality video that would truly blow your mind. 5/5 stars!

If you haven't seen this you are missing out. This is one of the most gorgeously shot documentary series ever made. David Attenborough's voice should be the only one allowed for narrating any documentary. This is a must have even if you do not like documentaries.

This sequel is a very detailed, breathtaking motion picture of the various biomes of the world and the beautiful creatures that reside there. The commentary by David Attenborough is so vivid and raw, your eyes will be wide when you are soaring with golden eagles through the Alps. I cannot wait for Planet Earth III.

I got this to watch as the first 4K UHD to watch on a new TV from Best Buy with my family who loves nature. This was amazing! We love nature viewing and with the level of detail and the HDR this comes out better than looking at photos on the same TV. The HDR really brings nature to the big screen in all new ways!

Bought this to test 4K capabilities of Blu Ray player on my new tv. Picture quality is good and the programming is informative. Enough hours to make it worth it.

Planet Earth II offers a spectacular, moving, unprecedented account of the natural world. However, it was challenging for me to watch animals eating other animals. I do understand that is how nature works, but I couldn't stop myself with the feels. The color and resolution of the 4k made it that much better!

Planet Earth II covers much of the same ground that the original Planet Earth series did years earlier. It serves as a follow up in some cases, how much our planet has changed since the first series. The photography is stunningly beautiful, and the bonus features gives a glimpse into how the footage was captured.

Breathtaking video of our planet and wildlife. I love seeing the fine details captured in each shot. I do have to agree with another reviewer that it was a little annoying when they switched between cameras and resolutions. It was a bummer seeing some imagery that was not captured in the native 4K resolution.

This series is absolutely incredible to watch in ultra HD on my Sony A1E OLED TV using a Sony X-800 player. Forget streaming if you want to see real 4K don't skimp on the TV, and do your research on each title to make sure it was filmed in 4K or film transferred directly to 4K. It does make a difference.

Excellent 4k hdr picture quality. Also the planet earth 2 is very good. my kids are watching almost every day. Especially the racer snakes scene in first episode "Islands". There are some dull moments in some episodes but only for a few moments. Whoever owns 4k tv with hdr and 4k player, it's like a must own disk.

Unmatched photography covering nature from all four corners of the globe. Action never before covered kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next scene. Our kids and grandkids loved every minute of the film and the best part was they received an education on the diversity of Mother Nature around the world.

We enjoyed the first Planet Earth and were excited to watch this one! It did not disappoint at all!! The images were stunning and beautiful. Well done BBC, well done!

First 4K UHD disc played on our new Sony 75 4K TV and it is incredible. I had already seen Planet Earth 1 and 2, but it was like watching it again for the first time. Really amazing, you can see the finest of details and the colors. I will pre-order Planet Earth #3 if they make one. Highly recommended.

This DVD has great color and is very sharp. Scenes in this documentary were astonishing, from the animals to the scenery. If you like documentaries about our planet and enjoy watching animals interact and vivid colors of oceans and mountains, this is an excellent DVD for the family to watch.

Planet earth 2. 4k. It's a must. Incredible feat of filmmaking that you must see to believe. It's inspiring in a way that makes you want to get out and see the world as well as challenges any filmmaker to get in close & personal with the subject matter in a way that's never been done before. Highly reocmmended.

I’m sold on 4K. Even though some TVs and DVD players upscale HD content to near 4K there is nothing like seeing true 4K content. The cinematography in Planet Earth II is incredible and the close up shots of the wildlife is wonderful. Well done.

I love these programs. The BBC presents the world in ways that are simply astonishing. This is incredible and entertaining and visually stunning. There are 6 episodes included in this disk, as well as how they made the remarkable video features on each as well. You'll love this if you love nature and animals.

Wasn't Impressed Would recommend the netflix series Our world over this for 4k testing.
