The Planet Earth series is just an incredible piece of work. The original still stands up even today, over a decade later. But this new series manages to clear the very high bar set by its predecessor! Make no mistake - if you want to show off what 4K with HDR is all about, this is a great demo disc. I think every single episode had at least one moment that made me pause playback and just stare at the screen in awe. But it's more than just great demo material. It's also very informative, and offers a chance to get a close-up look at species and habitats you'd likely otherwise never get to see. And there's even some emotion / tension mixed in, too (aquatic iguanas versus snakes scene, I'm talking about YOU). Wrap Attenborough's narration around it all, and you just can't lose.

As with all the BBC Sponsored 4K BluRay titles this is of exceptional quality and educational too.

If you saw the first planet earth this one is even better and the technology has improved so much.

4K UHD BLU RAY of Planet Earth 2 is nothing short of spectacular. The BBC has really out done it with this release. The quality of film making and what went into making this documentary is something to see and appreciate. The quality of the picture is breath taking. If you are a A/V lover this is a collection to own for sure. Not only to showcase your A/V system but it's very educational and the whole family can appreciate it. The BBC is really trying so hard to educate the world and what we us happening in our world today and what could happen in the future. I loved the first Planet Earth and I hope it gets a 4K UHD BLU RAY release as well. Pick this title up for sure.

4K makes these nature video's fantastic you feel as if you are right in the middle of the area.

First 4k movie ivw bought, picture quality is amazing and got this at the right price

10 years ago Planet Earth was a revelation in nature documentaries. 2016's Planet Earth 2 takes that to a new level. Using today's latest HiDef camera systems, the BBC crews are able to go higher, closer and even right into the middle of the action. You will see things never before captured on film anywhere with a clarity never before possible. This set is approximately 6 hours in total, and all of it is narrated by the splendid David Attenborough. If DVD set looks good. The BluRay version looks amazing, and I can only imagine what how incredible the 4k version looks. This is a set well worth the price, and if your family is like mine, will get repeated viewings.

Planet Earth 2 on 4K is visually stunning. The picture quality will take your breath away.

If you have a 4K UHD TV, particularly a large one, then you have to have this. The cinematography is absolutely stunning. While the resolution may not seem to be a big leap from standard blu-ray, the detail is amazing when compared to standard DVD resolution. HDR also makes everything seem to pop out of the screen with vibrant, lifelike clarity and color. As is with the series, the production is brilliant and keeps you engrossed. Definitely makes one appreciate the beauty and vastness of this little blue planet that we live in. It will take a while to go through all the episodes but, till then, we'll be glued to the screen with this one.

Beautiful DVD,4 k looks awesome. Very close to the action ,like being there in person.

I have an OLED 4K HDR TV and like the Planet Earth series so I bought the Planet Earth II to test the picture quality on my TV. I was amazed! This BBC produced documentary has the most detailed picture resolution and color saturation with deeper blacks that I have ever seen anywhere. If you like viewing wildlife in their native habitat this will be as close as most people will likely ever get to some of the most remote locations on the planet and the interesting animals that live there. I honestly have not seen another blu ray that matches this one in quality. It costs a bit more than other 4K blu-rays for a reason. This one is better.

This is an absolute must own for the collection. Especially if you are a Nature fan.
