This is an amazing documentary about our planet, Plant Earth. It captures moments I did not even know exist. It's truly remarkable. And the quality of imagery is amazing, and will maximize your TV's potential. I recommend this to anyone living on this planet! PS. For me, this is a strong piece that acts as a constant reminder to treat Earth well, as we are all visitors. It's the one planet we have.

If you want to really appreciate what blu-ray is all about definitely get this cause it will make you really appreciate nature's beauty. A must to add to your collection

This is one of my favorite series about the planet earth. The cinematography is excellent and the narrator's voice is very intriguing and captivating.

Planet Earth and Planet earth II are very educational, I just wish they were both 4K.

Unbelievable photography narrated by Attenborough- there is nothing comparable!!

Simply put, Planet Earth is a 5 DVD set all filmed in High Definition that explores nature on our planet in an 11 episode series narrated by Richard Attenborough. If you watched it on TV, you may recall that it was Sigourney Weaver who narrated each episode. Each episode is about 45 minutes with a 10 minute behind the scenes feature added to that. When I first watched these episodes on the HD Discovery network, I learned new things, and saw new creatures on every single episode. Rare footage of lions hunting at night, strange creatures that live off sea grass off the coast of Australia, weird dezinens of the deep oceans, these shows have it all. The first four discs are the original 11 episodes from the HD Discovery network, and the fifth disc is three extra episodes focusing on endangered species, endangered forests and what we can do to preserve our planet Earth. All in all, there are 14 hours of viewing

Awesome documentaries about animals and their habits.

It is an excellent way to see nature. The quality of the Planet Earth is not that great as it was recorded in 2007 with that technology.

I like the price and how good the caption is . I saw animals i had never seen before .

It is truly important to be aware of what our one and only planet Earth is made up of. Everyday working life of restrains us from not only witnessing but being always mindful of the incredible scenes that occur in our natural world. This Planet Earth collection helps bridge the gap between human society and the wild.

Series is good so far. One problem I had with these discs is none of them would play in my Sony UBP-X800 but did play in my LG BH200 which an older unit. 13 years older. The box that the disc cases store in was damaged but also discounted. As far as not playing I the the newer Sony disc player, I suspect some kind of compliance issue. Anyway, my LG BH200 has a better video processor and use that for Blu ray and HD-DVD. Not a problem for me. Felt it necessary to report this so others would know. The series is good. Graphic at some points but for the most part a very interesting and suspenseful look into the wild. I have only made it through 3 of the discs and will be finishing the rest when possible.

One of the best series for nature lovers who do not actually know about nature but has always been intrigued. This updated series does a wonderful job at capturing even more nature for the audience with a delightful narrator.

The DVDs are scratch free, and their visual effects are very appealing. I recommend these DVDs to every classroom teacher who wants unlock the secrets of our natural world to their students.

I have a deep fascination with nature and live to watch these types of programs. The clarity is excellent and you feel as if you are right there in the thick of the action

This is a fantastic documentary of our planet. We are very lucky to be able to enjoy all the different things in this documentary

This is the most amazing nature show I have ever watched and David Attenborough is the perfect voice to narrate.

Planet Earth is probably one of the best nature shows ever made. This is a nice addition to my dvd collection.
