To begin with, these are the 1st over the ear speakers that stay on no matter what I do! There's an adjustable tension strap on the top you can adjust for your activity, and they're comfortable at any setting! You can go about twice the distance from your device than a normal BT headset and not drop the signal. The charge has easily lasted a week with 3+ hours of use per day. Plus their sweatproof!

I really want to like these cans, but they just don't go loud enough. I saw other reviewers say the same, and thought maybe it was just subjective. But they really aren't very loud. If you are okay with that, you may like these. But if you want something to drive your workouts I would pass for now. Maybe the next version will be louder.

The BackBeat FIT 6100 Bluetooth headphones are built for an active lifestyle with its light but snug fit and water/sweatproof design.
Overall the build quality of the headsets is good, they're industrial design, sturdy and lightweight construction makes them suitable for exercise and all day wear. Personally, I prefer to use wireless active headsets while working out or riding my bike because my ears get sweaty underneath headphones.
Pairing the headset is simple, just turn the power button on and the voice says "Pairing mode", go to your phone and choose the 6100 headsets and you are connected. The app is also simple to use and gives you more advanced controls and EQ settings.
Sound was solid, but a little bit flat and tinny, lacking some sound depth and richness. I will play with the EQ settings a bit more to try and add some body to the sound quality. Battery life on these is fantastic at roughly 24 hours, but I've yet to fully test that aspect.
The touch controls actually worked better than I expected, and actually better than some more expensive Bluetooth headsets I own.
There are some oddities and shortcomings on these headphones that should be noted as well:
1) For circumaural closed back headphones, these are NOT noise cancelling. For this price point they are close enough that if this is important to you, it may impact your decision. Noise cancelling is a must in my opinion for things like plane rides.
2) Micro-USB to charge. Mfgs of wireless charging devices really need to make the switch to USB-C. There's no reason not to use it as the power source is still USB-A and USB-C makes it much easier to plug these in and charge them.
3) The "Open MIc" feature seems a bit superfluous to me since these aren't noise cancelling headphones and the mic actually picks up a lot of random noise, so the stuff you want to hear doesn't really come in much clearer and you get amplified local noise.
Overall these are solid headphones for active types who want a pair of durable headphones that are rugged and easy to clean.

I'd like to say I really wanted this to work but to be honest The side touch button is to sensitive.
I tried doing standing overhead shoulder shrugs and triceps extension( skull crusher) on the bench and it kept pausing.
The band doesnt really get that tight.
If you are going to go hard on your workouts
this isn't the headphones.
I'm still searching for a good over the ear pair.

Sound system on the headphones is too soft and small. It's like a whisper in your ear.
Also, the headphone battery system is horrible. It takes a long time to fully charge. If you let it go dead it will not work anymore or function. I tried to charge it for long period of time and the headphones still doesn't work or operate properly.
Horrible headphone. So I return it and brought me a better headphone from a reliable brand.

I got these on sale for about $90. They are just average. Not very loud at all and mediocre bass. If you like listening to audiobooks or don't like blaring loud music these would be a good buy.

I was told this would work with my Samsung tv model. I wrapped it and gave as a present to my wife a couple weeks later. Would not sync. I then ordered a MEE audio Connect universal Bluetooth wireless audio transmitter adapter. Finally got all that to charge and work, but now notice I cannot get the volume to go up or down.
So I tried it with the bluetooth on my phone. Same thing. It syncs up with no problem, but the volume on the headphones does not go up or down.

Hi Patrick and thank you for your honest review on our BackBeat FIT 6100. Please note this model may work with a Samsung TV but it is mainly intended for cell phone or tablets that support Bluetooth headsets. Bluetooth technology works through different profiles, and these are the ones the headphones require: HFP 1.7, HSP 1.2, A2DP 1.3, AVRCP 1.6. As you know, in order to adjust the volume you need to Swipe up or down on the outside of the right earcup. If this feature is no longer working on your cell phone, please reset the connection between your phone and headphones. To do so: https://goo.gl/emzUTA. Remember to set the headphones in pairing mode to be able to re-pair them to your phone. In case that doesn't work, install the BackBeat app https://goo.gl/AtmURf and select the reset option. You might also want to ensure the unit's firmware version is up to date. If you still get the same issues while using with your cell phone, please note this model counts with a one-year manufacturer's warranty. We will forward your comments to our team for review and consideration. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team at: 1-888-363-0726.

I purchased these headphones last month and within a week the headphones wouldn't hold a charge. I tried to reset and check for updates which didn't work. I bought a new pair thinking it was defective. I now have the same exact issue and the same troubleshooting methods have not worked.
I have purchased other Plantronics headphones and this is easily the most disappointing experience I've had.

Please rest assured that we take the quality of our products very seriously, and scenarios like these are very unlikely. These Over ear headphones are easy to setup out of the box.
They look good.
They fit pretty well and are adjustable to fit different sizes (my head is on the smaller size and some don't fit well, this one does)
They are Bluetooth/wireless and include a headphone cable (I did not test the cable yet, only wireless)
They also include the USB charging cable (no wall block).
The sound is good on the medium to high, just ok on the low. The headphones moderately block outside noise (I was in a quiet environment not a loud gym or outside). The higher the volume you play the less outside noise you will hear.
The outside sound option does not sound good. It sounds tinny and unnatural.
There is an active adjustment strap. I believe to tighten the fit for active use. I didn't notice a big difference but did not use them to workout.
They are supposed to be sweat resistant so using them to workout or do outside work should be a good fit.
The controls are tough for me to master.
There are two buttons on the headphone (power/pair, and outside sound on/off) The rest of the controls are touch on the right earphone. Tap play/pause/call answer, slide volume up/down, slide track skip/back. These are touch only, no buttons and use an up/down/right/left arrow pattern. If you don't hit/slide them in the right direction they don't work properly. I am not a designer, but if there was a built in/raised line you could feel with your finger it would help you trace the direction and get the function right. (Maybe a future model).
I cannot verify the range for the wireless, I only used them w/ about 10 feet or so.
In all they are a good set of headphones, not great.
They look cool, sound good, and I would recommend them

These headphones are very comfortable and secure on my head, and they sound amazing. Definitely download the Backbeat app, it has a Bass mode that is awesome! The touch controls work great, I will say that it can be easy to pause the track you are listening to until you get used to it, but after that no issues at all. Overall these are great!
