Many appreciate the headphones' water resistance and lightweight design, making them ideal for workouts. While some users found the volume and bass could be improved, the overall positive feedback highlights the product's strengths. Minor concerns were also raised regarding the ease of use of the controls and the range of the Bluetooth connection.

Our BackBeat FIT headset has an IP57 waterproof rating that is intended as protection for accidents like rain or spillings, but Bluetooth headsets are not intended for underwater use since Bluetooth signals do not properly disperse through water.

When we design a specific headset we aim to accommodate around 80-90% of different ear shapes and sizes but unfortunately one size (or in this case one style) doesn't fit all. If the headset is uncomfortable to wear or feels too insecure on your ears we do recommend trying a headset with a different wearing style.

We will also forward this feedback to our product managers for them to consider when designing future products, please don't hesitate to contact us at www.plantronics.com/support if you require assistance. Plantronics

I have had problems with headphones that are truly sweat proof and these headphones where exactly that. Most headphones do not make it passed 20 min. as much as i sweat but these did. But the sound was not good I wear headphones so I can listen to the music I want with these I could here the gyms music over my headphones even with volume turned up. but other then that they had a great fit and where completely sweat proof.

The BackBeat Fit's ear tip is designed to allow you to hear your surroundings for security reasons when used outdoors. If you require a headset that allows you to isolate external noise and focus better on your music we'd recommend considering our BackBeat Go 3 instead. Plantronics

Our BackBeat FIT has an IP57 waterproof rating as an added layer of protection against sweat, rain or splashes but is not intended for constant submersion or underwater use. In fact Bluetooth technology does not transmit underwater, therefore, no Bluetooth headset can be used underwater. Use in the shower or submersion to clean your headphone for less than 30 mins and above 3 feet should be safe. Plantronics

Yes, these headphones do not block external noise since they are intended for exercising and it is important for the user to be aware of his surroundings.

Bluetooth signals do not disperse properly underwater, because of this no Bluetooth headset is ideal for swimming. Our BackBeat FIT was an IP57 waterproof rating that is added as an extra protective layer against sweat, rain and liquid splash accidents but is not intended for underwater submersion or use. Thank you for your honest review and feedback on our BackBeat FIT Bluetooth headset.

If the volume on the headset is not loud enough you might want to ensure your headset and phone's media volume is set to the highest setting. Most phones have different volume levels for calls, notifications and media and even if one of them is high media volume might still be low.

You might also want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headset to see if that helps the issue. To do so:

      1. Delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices.
      2. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone.
      3. Re-pair the headset with your phone and test.

If the issue is the same we recommend testing the device with another phone to determine if it's on the phone or headset. If the issue persists even on a different phone we can replace that device, it comes with a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. Please don't hesitate to contact us at www.plantronics.com/support if you require assistance. Plantronics

    Great pair of headphones!

This has been a great pair of headphones. The bluetooth connection works really well, and the battery life is pretty long (I can go about 4-5 days on a charge, no problem). In addition, I can verify that the waterproofing works, as I accidentally put them in the washing machine and dryer, and expected it to not work, but it is working fine. So while I don't suggest you put in the washer, at least the waterproofing is solid. I use the headphones with my Apple Watch, and the connection is great, as I don't have to lug around my bulky iPhone 6+ anymore. But one thing to note is that you should put your iPhone in airplane mode so that it does not break its bluetooth connection. I found that out the hard way when my workout kept getting interrupted at the gym because the headphones would get confused (or it was the Apple Watch, regardless, it kept dropping my connection to my music). Putting the phone in airplane mode solved the problem. Sound quality is really good, and the controls on the headphones are also simple to use. I do think that the backward track option is a little clunky, but it still works. The headphones fit comfortably on and in your ears. The only part that gets in the way is the strap which sometimes gets caught in my cap, but no really big annoyance. I haven't really tried the phone option yet, because these are mainly used for workouts and the point was for me not to have to lug my phone around and use my Apple Watch instead. Also confirmed that this works well connecting with an iPad too. PROS: long battery life, voice tells you the status of your battery when you turn it on, it's waterproof (laundry washer certified, lol), fits comfortably in your ears, good sound (not a lot of bass, but decent), easy connection, simple controls. CONS: backward track command is clunky, strap can get in the way sometimes, seems to get confused if multiple bluetooth options available, once the battery is low, it starts dying pretty fast (all of these are pretty minor complaints).

Thank you for your honest review on our BackBeat Fit Bluetooth headset.

This model is intended to be used for working out, running or during activities where environmental awareness is required. Because of this it is not designed to have a tight seal in your ear. If this model is too uncomfortable, loose or feels insecure while wearing we recommend that you consider our other BackBeat series products, like our BackBeat Go 3, Sense or Pro.

Please don't hesitate to contact us at www.plantronics.com/support if you have any additional feedback or any questions regarding our product. Plantronics

Hello, in order to troubleshoot connection issues we recommend that you unpair your BackBeat Fit from your phone's Bluetooth settings, restart your phone and then re-pair them in order to create a brand new connection.

If the problem persists you can try the headset with another phone to see if this issue is related to your phone or headset. In case the problem persists on a different phone/device, you can request a replacement through our website at www.plantronics/support Plantronics

Very upset at best buy and never will purchase item from them. I askes the sales respresentive if i can return them ans they said yes...tried to return and they said i could not. I had bought them and tried them on and the ear plugs are too big for my ears even the small ones. Tired to return to best buy for exchange and can't even do that...never been used. Customer service is not the best at best buy.
