Plants vs zombies always coming out with something new, battle for neighborville is a great next step in the gaming series

This is such a frustrating review because I feel the game shouldn’t have the issues it does. I feel the game should get 5 stars, but the frame rate and resolution issues are something to be aware of. I’m a massive PvZ fan and I’ve played countless hours of Garden Warfare 1 & 2 on both PC and PS4. I recently bought this for PS4 and as expected it’s perfectly fluid, smooth, looks great and runs at 60 FPS. Unfortunately this is not the case for the Switch version. At only 30 FPS in both docked and handheld modes the game feels sluggish and due to the lower resolution it’s very noticeable how blurry/fuzzy things look compared to PS4/PC, especially on the TV. And I get it, the Switch is not as powerful and I shouldn’t expect it to run as good, but I feel that’s a major flaw. The Borderlands and Bioshock games I expected to run at 30 FPS because they’re PS3/360 ports and those ran at 30 FPS, but this game isn’t, so once again the Switch is the weakest link of the group. That being said, if you can look past that and you have no other way of playing this game, then it’s still a great amount of fun and I’m thrilled to see the series FINALLY make it to Switch. All the content is there but I have no idea what makes this a complete addition or whatever since you still have to unlock characters and content. I see no difference between this and the PS4 standard version I have in that regard. My son had pointed out a lot of minor differences such as there not being as many pots to plant in at certain locations, but things like that I assume are because of the Switch’s limitations. My 5yo son absolutely loves the PvZ series and didn’t care about the issues I pointed out, but as an adult they’re big issues for me. I’d recommend this for kids who aren’t going to notice the flaws and for anyone who wants to play this on the go because it’s a really fun game. If you play primarily at home and care about performance and a smooth 60 FPS experience, then get it on another system.

Plants vs Zombies battle for neighborville is alot of fun and more than met my expectations, The graphics are really good and gameplay is very smooth. I absolutely love this game. Well worth picking up, Just do yourself a favor and buy it already, You won’t be disappointed, Bravo Nintendo!

Son was excited to receive this as a gift for his birthday, was the first game he played on his nintendo switch lite and honestly hasn't switch games since.

Bought this game hoping my 11 year old would like it. He loves it and plays it a lot. I’ve bought more pricey games that didn’t get the attention I thought they would. But my son loves this game. Definitely worth the money.

I really enjoy playing this game ans wanted to play it with my little brother now we spend hours playing together instead of taking turns i like the share ability to be able to play on several devices so the physical copy of the game is worth it for me

My child loves his zombies game. I couldn't afford an expensive system so I got him a nintendo switch lite in hopes that plants vs zombies would make it on the switch. Fortunately, it did and I'm glad my son got a chance to play this game he had been wanting to play for the longest ever since he played it on his friends xbox.

This game is lots of fun! Somewhat different from the PvZ apps but a new take on the game and allows you to play as a character actually fighting zombies. It took a bit of time to get the hang of the controls but I overall enjoyed it!

The game is kind of repetitive but it's all in good fun. I recommend purchasing when it goes on sale for under 20. Not worth full price.

My grandkids love Plants and Zombies. This video game allows them to play on the television for others to participate.

This is a fun game if you enjoy shooting zombies. The controls are a little awkward at first but the more play you have the better. Roaming through the different scenes are fun and a map is provided.
