    I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 (U.S. Cellular). I never even knew I needed a cable like this, until I saw it in Best Buy. I'd get in my car & I'd have to turn my dome light on, because the door light would go out, most of the time, before I could plug my phone in.

    The lighted end seems like a gimmick but it helps I correctly attaching cable to phone in low or no light. It lights the bottom of the phone to make the connection. I keep this on my nightstand where the light feature is a great advantage.
