Cable is pretty cool but does not work very well. Light always stays on. Charged my phone very slow and heated it up. Tried it with 3 different phones and it still didnt work very well. Would not recommend.

I had to exchange my first purchase of this cable. The always on led over headed to the point where I got burned on different occasions. I've found other issues with Platinum cables so I question the quality control of the brand. I currently on the touch to light version of this cable that so far has been more reliable and has had a better use case.

I got this to use in my car since my car radio has a USB port on it where I can plug in my phone and listen to the music on my phone or apps like Pandora. I have an iPhone, however I just got the mophie case for it which uses MicroUSB instead of Lightning. Unlike lightning which can be plugged in either direction, MicroUSB can only be plugged in one direction. Since I work at night, it is always dark out when I drive, and it is difficult to plug my phone into my car radio in the dark. Not only would I have trouble finding the end of the cord, but since I can't see I would sometimes end up trying to plug the MicroUSB in upside down. This cable is perfect because the light on the tip is always on as long as power is running through the cable. Since I started using this cable, I am able to find the tip of the cable instantly, and I can easily see the tip of the cable so I don't make the mistake of trying to plug it in upside down. Also in a dark car, the light is bright enough to illuminate a small area in case I drop something, but it is not too bright that it becomes overpowering or that I don't want to drive with it on. The cable also seems like it will be durable enough for me to fold up and put in my cars center console over and over again during the times that I remove my radios faceplate. I am planning to buy another one to use at home for the same reasons.

It works really well, the light is very helpful. Con: The part of the cable that plugs into your phone gets firery hot. This could be due to the always on light but it get shot immediately. Not sure about this.

Light is cool but makes the connector EXTREMELY hot.
