I just received this monopod/tripod and I am happy with the quality. The versatility is great. The legs can extend out for better stability. The legs have three settings so you can have them all the way out or about half way out or even out just a little. The leg base also has the ability to turn if necessary. The three extensions are solid and strong. The locks for the extensions are big and easy to unlock and lock.
The only part I am not totally thrilled about is the pan head assembly. With a unit his well built and versatile you would think they would put a fluid head that would have better options. That being said, the pan head allows the camera to turn 360 degrees with ease. The pan head also allows the camera to tilt a full 90 degrees. The controls for the pan head are simply and well made. The pan head comes with a quick release for the camera. If you don't like the pan head you can get almost any other head with a 1/4" screw hole as a replacement.
The direction of the monopod/tripod can be reversed very easily if necessary. Take off the pan head and the legs and also take out the screw from where the pan head was located. Then screw the legs on the end where the pan head was located. Put the screw in the hole where the legs were located then screw on the pan head. You can even use the unit as a monopod without the legs. The unit comes with a single foot to screw on the bottom where the legs were located.
They also send you a hand strap, a spare screw, and a small tool which makes it easy to unscrew and screw the screws on the monopod. The tool can also be used to tighten the screw on the quick release to the bottom of the camera.
You will be glad when you buy this.

I purchased this polepod for use with my Nikon Keymission 360 and GoPro cameras. This tri/mono/mini pod has exceeded my expectations. Three separate devices are replaced by this one unit. A big plus when your subject is an hour's hike from the car!
