    Does it’s job!

I really only have this on my lens to protect it from damage to the glass and I’m glad I had it.. My camera fell forward on a tripod and hit the corner of something. The filter was broken and the edge of it was smashed in a little, but my lens was just like new. Best money I’ve ever spent to protect my equipment. I immediately purchased this one to replace it.

Ounce of PREVENTION worth a pound of CURE

This is a great lens filter. It does not detract from picture quality or introduce any image degradation whatsoever. Protect that huge investment in your new lens by adding on this superb filter. It is like purchasing an insurance policy for your lens, but you actually have a tangible item on the camera to protect the lens...rather than some stupid warranty or piece of paper. Wrap that rascal with this fine filter and that new lens will retain it's superb optics many more years than the same lens without it. Enjoy it and know it's a wise investment. This ounce of prevention is reasonably priced and is much less than the pound of cure it would costs to have the lens reground.....buy it today!!!

Some elitist will offer their snide remarks about how you shouldn't use this type of filter but who cares what they say?! I have always put one of these on every single one of the lenses I've ever owned. I don't have quality issues with my pics and I've saved myself thousands by hitting this filter rather than my expensive lens.

$25.00 lens filter protecting a $600 lens...yup, I'm all over that!! Knocks down a wee bit of glare (not like a polarizing filter) and protects the lens from not only dust and smudges on the actual lens...BUT also doubles as a protection against "dinging" the edge of the lens against any hard object, thus distorting the lens if not cracking it.

Clean, clear and it fit. Replaces and damaged lens filter that saved the lens Works very well on the Sony SAL1650 lens, plus Best Buy had one in stock when I needed it.

I always use a UV filter to protect my lens and this one worked out well. There is no distortion at the edges and great clarity. An excellent item.

Here’s an inexpense way to protect your lense, just make sure to purchase the correct size for your lense. Not only does it protect against accidental bumps, but it’s main purpose is to protect against the harsh rays from the sun. A little investment that actually goes a long way.

It does the job of protecting your lens but is a bit on the thin side. I found a better quality version at a camera store. I think the filter is OK, but I'm more interested in it protecting my lens from scratches.

Very good quality filter, especially for the price. Much better quality than budget priced filters, but more affordable than pro-level ones. A good middle ground choice for the majority of users.

I am a professional photographer. I use the filter for protection for my 24-70 mm Nikon lens. This time I got more than I bargained for.. this is a workhorse lens and when I took portrait photos the lens I did not have to switch filters!

purchased with a wide angle lens as a gift for my wife. Should help protect the lens. Have not tried with and without but pictures turn out great with it on.

I don't really know a lot about lens filters, but I buy one every time to protect the original glass from dust, scratches, and falls. I've been saved a couple times by the filter breaking before the lens. Buy it for protection.

I use the 72mm filter on my Nikkor 18-200mm DX lens. This is a store brand filter but still works great for protecting your lens's glass. I love the value and the quality is nearly as good as the Hoya filters I have.

An Inexpensive Alternative to B&W Filters

Albeit this is not a B&W lens, I find that it is an inexpensive alternative. The threads were clean and the glass mounting inside of the ring is tight. I'd never purchased a Platinum filter before, but now that I've used one, I won't hesitate ever again.

Works to protect the lens, doesn't seem to affect the picture quality, original lens cap fits right into it and I can install accessories such as a wide angle conversion lens right onto it without removing it.

Love it. Does what its supposed to do. Though could be cheaper. I had dropped my camera body with the 18105g attached about 3 feet high and it did its job protecting the lens unscathed. Awesome job.
