Partly my fault as it got hung up on the seat belt in the car when I got out. I guess that is the weak link to the case but I have had this style for my S3 for 6 years with no problem and now have the S9 which is a bit larger and heavier. I like this style as it is easily accessible with one hand and has protected my phone when dropped onto hard pavement.

A superior phone case

Those can cause accidental damage to the new glass screen protectors when struggling to get them on and off so as to get to the SD card removal slot. This case just slides on in two pieces and fits nicely with the screen protector. Rounded raised edges and corners help protect screen edges from incidental damage. The fold out "kickstand" is definitely an added bonus.

Well made, but tiny flaw.

Once I put a pop socket on it however, I could no longer use it with my car mount. The built in kick stand interfered with the mounting hardware and I couldn't reposition the phone because of the pop socket. So, I had to buy a different case. Now I have a $30 back-up!
