I bought this item with my new flash Canon 470EX-AI. So far I'm impressed with the results. The images are bright and the light is diffused on a large area. I love it. I recommend it to both amateurs and professionals.

This thing looks very silly but it works great. Diffusing light is especially useful for small or shiny subjects.

Before I have small diffuser , however it is not enough diffusiering light from flash light. The thr large Platinum it work well.

I love to do macro photography, shooting mostly flowers and occasional insects in the backyard. I purchased this as a flash diffuser, essentially as a softbox, to be able to add flash creatively in some of my photos. This Platinum Large Flash Diffuser is perfect for the job. It seems really well made from quality materials and the fit and finish is perfect. It easily attaches to a standard flash and has a specially grippy material and fastens with a velcro strap for a tight fit on the flash head. I think it could also be useful in pet photography to help soften the flash. I suppose it would work for people portraits as well for things like weddings, etc., but I would tend to feel a little awkward walking around with a diffuser of this size on my camera. However, in the end it's the results that matter and I feel this diffuser would do a good job.

I am an amateur photographer and wanted to start getting into night photography. Hearing about the red eye effect with flash, I was looking for something to reduce that without breaking the bank. This does just that. The pictures were illuminated perfectly and I was able to completely avoid the red eye effect. For an amateur photographer, I couldn’t ask for more.

First let me state I am not a professional photographer. I picked this diffuser up to help the pictures I take of food and tech items. So far it seems to be working. It does take some work to add it to my flash, but that might just be the flash I have. The diffuser comes with a simple nylon storage bag that keeps it from collecting dust between uses. I would recommend this light diffuser.

I bought this diffuser for use with a manual flash that I use for macro photography. Because of it's large size, it works best with longer lens, when used on a on-camera flash. I used it with the Canon RF 85mm macro lens. The results were fantastic. I would highly recommend this diffuser.

This is one of the best reflector i have ever had , I majorly use this for macro photography and some time low light photography.

I thought it was going to be cumbersome and make the camera hard to operate but i was wrong-lightweight, easy to mount, and has great coverage - no black edges on the photos at all.

I got to try this soft box out in an indoor shoot in combination with a Godox 860III flash, and the results are very good for half body portraits in 70mm focal length shots. The lights fall evenly and soft. The size of the soft box is not intrusive when mounting to the flash on top of my camera, yet it is so light I wouldn't notice while hand holding the camera with flash. It is not as fast to put on and remove like the Magmod diffuser I have, but as mounting on a secondary flash it works. For me this is a keep in my camera bag since it is light weight and fold flat. For the price and usefulness I highly recommend this one.

Can’t tell you how much this was useful to me ! I had to shoot my friends children’s baptism. This created soft lighting. For the price it’s definitely a must have.

I would recommend for using an external flash at night or indoors when you are close to the subject to evenly distribute the light!

Works fine for what it is. You're not going to light up a whole set, but its good for spot use.

Great flash diffuser. Distributes light very well and folds up VERY conveniently in my camera bag.

The frame seemed flimsy but once you mold it into position it holds its shape fairly well. Okay product. It was cheap on clearance.

Well worth the clearance price. Have not had the opportunity to use it, but it fits good and if it’s like other diffusers I have, it should work fine.

It’s a great frugal alternative, it does its job although there are smaller but more pricey diffusers. This one will do the job for now!
