Got this bag for the Surface 4 and it fits quit well with the pen stuck to the side. Modest protection too - overall not too overly big but serves it's purpose.

I love it. I'm the type of person that is very careful with electronics in general so for trips where I want to bring the Surface this sleeve is perfect. It's still slender, so I can carry it in my purse or in my tote when I go to work. It is lined with "micro-fleece" like material so I know it's protected from scratches on the inside. I have a Surface Pro 4 and it fits with the pen on the side comfortably. And who doesn't love pockets?! Love that its zippered so it can secure anything from business cards to half sheets.

While the bag is the correct size for the Surface Pro, the cords do not fit well in the side pocket. It would be nice if it had a carrying strap.
