I bought this USB to Gigabit Ethernet because Surface Book 2 does not have an Ethernet port. The setup is pretty simple, just plug the adapter to a USB port and it automatically detected and I did not have to install any drivers at all. I checked the Device Manager and the USB-to-Gigabit Ethernet adapter is recognized as a Realtek USB GbE Network Family Controller. So far, this adapter has been working great.

My wifi died on my laptop and I didn't have the cash to fix it so... for a few bucks I popped this into my USB3 port and I was back in business! No drivers needed, worked with both my Ubuntu partition and Windows one.

With the laptops getting thinner, the standard RJ-45 ports are a thing of the past. Got this for a client and it immediately solved the issue. Just plugged in and Windows 10 installed it without the need for a direct driver download. Speed tests went from 25Mbps wireless to 642Mbps wired to his Comcast 600Mbps plan. They couldn’t be happier.

This is a good unit so far with a good build quality to it. Tried it on a computer with an ethernet port and it worked great. Also tried it on newer PC using a USB-C adapter and it worked great with no noticeable latency. I'd recommend it, if it is still available.

Purchased this to use for a more reliable connection to the internet for my laptop and it works great. I stream ppv events on my laptop and I use hdmi to my big tv and Using wifi alone would always drop every now and then. After buying this, that’s no longer a problem

With the newer computers, they do not seem to be installing ethernet ports, and I need ethernet ports every once in a while; well good old Best Buy had a solution: this ethernet adapter - it works - I am happy - and when I need to connect with ehternet, I am able to do so - thanks Best Buy!

My son's laptop did not have an Ethernet port and Zoom meetings were stalling on our Wi-Fi. This solved the problem and he connects through an ethernet cable to our extender. It works great for us. Deal of the Day made it half price and especially worthwhile.

I restored my Lenovo 110S-11IBR to operation and needed to have access to the ethernet server connection because the wireless was not fast enough to prevent upgrades from timing out. This does the job as expected.

The driver install was painless, truly plug and play! Consistently hitting 460 mbs, always stays connected. Started having problems with the onboard ethernet port staying connected, bought this to troubleshoot, and have no regrets!

Wife’s laptop didn’t have an Ethernet port and WiFi is so much slower in that part of the house so this allowed her to get full download speed to her laptop. Plug and play super simple

Definitely does it’s job. The laptop had for work that boss picked out, didn’t have a place to plug internet cable into. This makes the use of the USB ports great.

With the events of Covid-19 and needing to get a student connected to the World Wide Web, this worked perfectly for a student to connect when not having Ethernet ability on her chrome.

I was looking to use a NUC as a network firewall. This time with Untangle. The NUC only had one ethernet port and this easily fixes the problem. Pretty much plug and play.

Much needed to use ethernet cable to stay connected. Had to get a new laptop for work and many new devices are not equipped for ethernet connection so this was a no brainer.

Easy to use. Just plug in. A must when most laptop these days don't even have an ethernet cable anymore and you need the extra fast connection.
