Refurbished....Sounds cool, but isn't

I recently bought a this refurb and I thought it would work just like new machine... For the most part it did and it was a lot of fun to use. Problem is that 2 days after using the Ps3 it stopped working properly, shutting down unexpectedly even with auto shut off switched off. The controller wouldn't work properly and none of the menu options were accessible. The low rating is for the quality of the repair done on this Ps3 and for best buy for marketing such a lame product. I will be returning this one and buying a new Ps3.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

PS3 Works, Controller Doesn't!

I just received my PS3 yesterday and was all excited to play it.(The only reason why I purchased refurbished was because Best Buy sold out on the 160gb model and were not sure when they were going to restock) Once I turned on the console and the settings were displayed i noticed that my PS3 controller was not working. The only thing that worked on the controller was the analog stick.I got so upset since I thought this product was "Factory Refurbished". I then immediatly called tech support, who then told me that they would send me another controller without me sending the "defective" one back. Overall, the Ps3 works, I bought a controller off of Gamestop(just to test the console) and the console works fine. A few marks on the top of the PS3, but other than that the console works good. Hope this review helps!
