The PS4 is of pure dominance. Every game that I've played that is a cross-platform title on the Xbox One AND the PS4, Sony wins without hesitation. As great as their hardware is, herein lies the issue- software. The UI is clean, simple, and somewhat easy to understand. But it is too simple. No customization options (yet), and few choices for the Gamer to take control. As much as I love the PS4... I am unfortunately returning it. There was another security breach, a DDoS attack on the PS Store, and it was simply brushed off by Sony as a not a big deal. I work IT for the State, a DDoS attack is a major deal. This is the 2nd hack to my knowledge since I've had been associated with Playstation. In the end- yes, this is an amazing product. I personally get a more "wow!" and fun factor playing the Xbox One, but if you're all about the performance and graphics, Playstation is the way to go!

Ps4 outdid themselves this time.. I am super obsessed with the graphics and details that are like never before... Makes you feel your inside the Game... I am now playing Assasins creed Unity ... The best Game ever!!!..hats off to Sony

The performance of the PS4 is phenomenal. Gameplay looks awesome and is seamless when switching games, checking message, or watching netflix.

The epitome of gaming and entertainment. This sleek yet muscular machine, is like the Playstation 3 on Steroids. And similar to steroids, it has its glaring advancements, and thusly, glaring deficiencies. More Storage, Party Chat, and 8GB of RAM are just some of the drool worthy supplements. But Alas, the incompleteness is clear. No dedicated video chat software, which was a fav on its predecessor, and only 1 type of video output. HDMI. If anything happens to it, you could pay a hefty price for repair. So get the protection plan or wrap your hardware in diapers. In Summation this is the cream of the crop in quality. Sony does it again.

Out with the old (PS3), in with the new (PS4). Bought my PS4 on launch day 11/15/2013 and so far I'm impressed. My PS3 has seen 7 years of non-stop gaming but now it's time to pass the torch on to the next PS for the next 6-7 years from now.

We owned every version of Playstation and this PS4 is without a doubt the best one yet and, in my opinion, surpasses its competition. Graphics are amazingly realistic, still the best Bluray player out there and processing speed is great.

Owning both the XboxOne and the PS4, I can honestly say that the PS4 is a better system. It's not perfect by any means, but it's a great system. It's the only system that you can get in which you can play games right out of the box. The PlayStation Store has several Free to Play games that do not require a PSPlus account. (i.e. DC Universe Online). If you have a PlayStation Plus account then you have access to even more free games every month. The user interface is easy to navigate and the upcoming release of PlayStation Now (in which you can play games directly from the server without having to install them) looks very promising. It's not free, but it gives you access to even more games. I highly recommend this system if you're looking for something new.

I'm a Sony fan, had each PlayStation console since v1 (still have PS2 and PS3); each generation improves, as does this one. Graphics are better, sound is better, console options are more diverse...great addition to the PS family.

The Playstation 4 is an amazing gaming console for all gamers to have! Not only are the games great, but the graphics for this console is great as well! The camera is also a great feature to this console that adds a little extra!!

FULL DISCLOSURE: I come from having a day one PS3 unit. I purchased day one releases of the PS4 and XBOX ONE. I purchased from Best Buy because they offer **REAL** rewards verses the points for trinkets joke over at Game Stop. Some may ask why I purchased both units. I am a huge fan of the National Football League and play Fantasy Football. From what I have read, the XBOX ONE is going to have interactive content with the NFL. For me that alone was enough to purchase an XBOX ONE. If the XBOX ONE did not offer the NFL content I would have taken a pass. What impresses me the most about the PS4 is the build quality of the unit. Its solidly built. There is nothing flimsy about the unit. All of the connection ports are solid. The PS4 controller feels solid and the supplied cables are adequate and include everything you need to get started. I love it when there are no surprise trips back to the store to get other wires, cables, etc. However, I am sure one of the knowledgeable associates at Best Buy would have advised me if something else was required. Yes the unit does require a system update out of the box. I consider this to be a good thing. It assures me that Sony is on top of what they are doing and knew something required a patch update to optimize performance and improve customer experience. I have a blazing fast TWC internet connection and I am hard wired to a router. The update took less than 4 minutes to download and install. The software interface feels the same as the PS3 with some enhancements and a more functional layout in my opinion. Set up and customization are a breeze. All operations are intuitive and are not difficult to use. For me the real plus was to be up, logged in, operational, and playing games in less than 20 minutes out of the box. Games purchased so far include: Assassins Creed Black Flag - Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty Ghosts. Game play has been outstanding. I only have two minor complaints: 1 - PLEASE STOP USING THE PIANO BLACK HIGH GLOSS FINISH (and that applies to all electronics manufacturers). You wipe this finish once and it will scratch. True its only half the unit. However, in my opinion, the entire unit should have been in the textured high impact plastic. Unless the manufacturer is going to put the Piano Black High Gloss Finish behind or underneath Gorilla Glass... They should refrain from using it.... PERIOD. 2 - PAY FOR PLAY HACKS ME OFF - PlayStation Network has moved to the XBOX style of PAY FOR PLAY. If you want to have the online multiplayer experience its going to cost you $50/year. I am not a fan of this move. However, they could have softened the blow and offered a multi year buy in discount of say 4 years for $100. Lets be honest... I am going to want online content as long as I own the system so a multi year deal appeals to me and I am sure I am not alone. Some are complaining about the limited game offerings and downloads available at this time. Its a new system people. Give them time!!! Soon we will be swimming in an ocean of games and download content. I found value in the 2 year extended warranty Best Buy offered for $89.00. Covers everything in the box for 2 full years. In my opinion, the PS4 is the system to own. Best Buy (thanks to the My Best Buy Program and two year extended protection they offer) is the only place to purchase from hands down.

Great graphics, easy to maneuver. You just have to make sure to charge the controlers cause they turn off once they run out of battery.

The ps4 is a very nice i was an Xbox person and never thought i would own a PlayStation but when Xbox pulled all that always connected and cant use used games i said im going to give PlayStation a try and im glad i did PlayStation is more of a gaming system where Xbox is trying to control your front room i don't need that i wanted a gaming system and ps4 wins in that department. and we all know out preforms the Xbox. i was not a fan of the old PlayStation controller but this new one is very nice and fits the hand great

The ps4 is a great system for any gamer. I love the clean sleek design of the consul itself, Sony did change the controller from the vintage PlayStation controller but after handling it for a few hours i love it. This is a 100x better than any Microsoft gaming system.

Best gaming graphics ever. PS menu is simple and easy to understand to access all the user's need. Love the games that are usable with the touch pad of the ps controller, great idea for next gen gaming for the controllers. Ps4 is freaking stylish compared to other consoles. Great price compared to xbox1 cuz I really don't have a use for camera or voice controll. I use it every day and runs smooth and low noise. Love it!!

It comes with everything you need including an HDMI cable, controller, controller charging cable and power cord. The free online subscription gives you access to free games monthly (though only as long as you have the sub)

There's not much to say. It's just great! I've only played 2K15 and Advanced Warfare on it but the graphics are great and it's clearly an upgrade from my old Xbox 360. The Blu-ray player works great as well! No complaints.

Great graphics and very fast. I really love this new system, it's great for online gaming and I am very satisfied with my new system.

It's is a great upgrade from my ps3, ex thing about this ps4 is more sharper and better design . I love playing this everyday . However not really a big selection of games to pick from. But there will new title of games soon.

I bought this for the hubby as he had been wanting one for so long. I love watching him play and the graphics are so good. He is having lots of fun with it and it is the best gaming system I have bought him in the 13 years we have been married.

I love my PS4, I've had it for about a month now and it's great! I have played Tomb Raider on the PS3 and now the PS4, and the graphics are a HUGE improvement! I love the new controller, it feels great and I like it so much more than the PS3's. Official Sony headsets from the PS3 DO work on the PS4. I have the Pulse Elite headset and it works wonderfully. The only "flaw" is that there are not a lot of games out at the moment, but there will be soon. It should only be a matter of WHEN you want to buy a PS4, not IF.
