Just pure awesome power
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not say this is the most powerful console compare to the X, but i will still choose this over the X because of the exclusives and many games that sony have compare to xbox. I would not recommend upgrade from a previous ps4 to a ps4 pro if you don't own or have a 4k hdr tv. The pro i believe is made for those 4k hdr owners and you can still get something out of the pro even if you dont have a 4k hdr tv. The pro runs faster and loads faster. I notice a slight difference in graphics and some minor details in the pro compare to the regular. In addition, it comes install with a 1 tb hdd which is better and should come standard in the future for all consoles. Overall, this console looks beefy and little bigger than the regular ps4, but is more powerful in terms or raw graphics. I would say im a proud owner of ps4 pro and would recommend to those first time buying a ps4. If the price is not within your budget, go for the slim version cheaper and updated than the regular ps4. Good luck.

Great Console!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I waited a few months before I bought this console. I was undecided between the PS4 Pro and the XBOX One X, but ultimately I went for the PS4 and it was a great decision! I’m not a hardcore gamer but the graphics and performance is pretty impressive, this system does not disappoint.

Best purchase choice if this is your first PS4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a 4k TV, this is by far the better choice than the regular slim. You definitely will notice the difference. If you don't have a 4k TV and want your very first PS4 console, this is still the better choice. Have your first experience be the best it can be!

Great System for 4k
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had a a PS4 since launch, and didn’t realize just how loud it really was. The Pro is very quiet, and runs games very smooth. I like that some developers give the option to go between “performance” and resolution modes, so I can decide which way I’d rather play the game. The graphics on 4k enabled games look great, and playing previous games in higher frame rates make them feel great. Highly recommend it. I’m also glad that I was able to download my save files that I uploaded through PS Plus.

Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven’t had a system since the original PS3. I love how this plays and it looks amazing on my 4K TV. The only thing I don’t like so much is the part of the controller that sits in the palm, it’s bigger and kind of slips around a little. Otherwise very happy

Best Console Ever but upgrade!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best console ever Sony knows how to mmake them. It plays games in 4k and runs things well. My gripes are the half step upgrade, how loud the system can get, and how slow things download. All things that Sony hopefully fix. Overall, great consoles!

Faster Game Play!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I finally purchased a 4K TV, I decided to upgrade my old PS 4 to the PS 4 Pro. What a difference in gaming! The faster processor makes for Terrific Graphics on this TV and Steaming Netflix 4K Content is AMAZING! A must have to compliment your 4K TV!

Fast, awsome graphics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast, great graphics, 1TB HD is definitely handy, may need an even bigger one yet! Only downfall for this is the size of the updates. As soon as we took it out of package and plugged it in, it had a 8.5gb update. Took over 45minutes for that to finish.

4K Awesome!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Summery of Overall Experience: The overall impression of this system is that it is gives you what you want. When I played Tomb Raider in 4K with HDR for the first time, I was blown away. My wife kept commenting on the graphic fidelity and lighting. It was very satisfying and very pleasing. Some games don't benefit, but that's not Sony's fault, the developers need to upgrade their games. The UI is familiar and great as always, not much changes there. But I love that even if you don't have a 4K tv with HDR, you still have higher frame rates! Overall very impressed and happy. Pros: -Processing power -4K HDR games if you have the option -Easy user interface -4K Ccontent: I love watching my favorite Netflix shows in UHD -3 USB ports Cons: -Hard drive should have been faster, but seek and writes are faster than PS4 -controller battery still drains quickly -UHD Bluray not included (read lower for response to this) Response to critics: For those of you want a great 4K HDR system at an affordable price, this is the system for you. Remember that this is not the PS5, so not to be compared to the upcoming XBOX Scorpio. Scorpio will be more powerful, but Sony makes no claims that the PS4 Pro represents their final 4K system, which means that Sony will release another console generation upgrade in a few years that will again wipe the floor with Microsoft. For those of you who gripe about the Bluray player, how is Sony going to install a very expensive price of hardware into this console and keep the price at $399. Otherwise the console would need to be $600-$800, which does not make sense. Look for this in the PS5 when technology becomes cheaper to manufacture. In the end, the PS4 Pro is a great system at a great price point that will give you years of entertainment. Go for it!!

Great System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As mentioned, you should buy the pro if you are buying your first ps4 or have a 4k TV to fully utilize it. I immediately had a better experience and picture in Nier when I went from my original ps4 to the pro. Looks amazing and runs great!

Better than the base model
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As of me writing this I cannot say I would recommend this with the incredible specs toured for the PS5, HLhowever I will review it from the stand point of just being this generation of consoles best version of the PS4. The PS4 Pro model is definitely a step above the base model. It puts out better visuals, but there is a caveat! These things can get very loud when trying to cool the conses components, the fans can sound like an airplane atbtake off. The design istes is not exactly a wow factor, but we'll built, it feels solid. The size of it makes it hard to vary around in a backpack, so if you plan on going to a friend's house you may want to pack it in a bigger bag. The buttons on the front are also kind of flimsy feeling, but I haven't had any issues with breaking it...I would probably exercise caution leaving it out with small children around.

Noticeable improvement from regular PS4 w/ good TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the pro model after my first gen PS4 died and around the same time I purchased a 4K TV w/ HDR. The difference or improvement in game play & graphics isn't always incredibly obvious, but the system does appear to run more smoothly especially during chaotic scenarios where I had previously notice frame rates dip on the original PS4 (think GTA when you have a 5 star police chase) or screen tearing on Wildlands when scanning the massive open world. I honestly do not know if checking the 'boost' button in the system settings actually does anything, but I generally keep it on unless I notice a game that seems to be buggier than usual (seems to make Fifa 18 frame rates unstable, but haven't experienced any other game issues). If you have a 4K/HDR TV and you want the best picture quality, I think its a worthy investment if you are loyal to PS. I bought it when they had the $350 price tag promo over the holidays which certainly helped in the decision making process between this instead of a xbox1x.

Wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It runs quiet, and fast. Im not a die-hard game player, but everything Ive done or played on this console has run smooth. Its hooked up to a 70 inch 4K tv and the picture is amazing when playing 4K (or checkered) games.

Best system on the market!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was weary of upgrading my ps4 to this model at first but I'M SO GLAD I DID! Impeccable increase in quality, connection, and speed. The 4K makes games really immersive and goes great with my curved monitor. Absolutely love this system, I'm excited to use it everytime. Plus, the new controller it comes with is fantastic as well. Everything about this system is a win!

Good upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS4 Pro comes with twice the amount of storage as the regular model, and the HDR and graphical improvements are definitely noticeable if you have a higher-end TV. Otherwise, it's pretty similar to the base model.

Plethora

Crisp graphics, more memory for large game files. Streamlined home screen, the PS4 is satisfying my GAMEing needs.

Exceeded Expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first PS4, I currently have an XBox One S and Nintendo Switcc, and this exceeded my expectations. My primary reason for buying this is to play PS4 exclusives. I also have a 4K TV so this made sense. The graphics are great with the few titles I've played and so far everything runs very smooth. The only caveat is that it does run much hotter than my XBox and Switch. So much so I went ahead and purchased the extended warranty from Best Buy. Hopefully I won't need to use it.
