Best Console out there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Console. Very Fast, doesn't stutter or lag. The 4K is great with my 4K Samsung TV. I've always had Sony Playstation from the original one and they never disappoint.

Best one yet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This PS4 Pro is so much faster than my launch PS4. It’s rated by the tech it has within to be 1/3 faster. Loading is a breeze now for games as well as initially starting a game. I load in faster than my friends! More RAM, faster processor, more storage and it makes all my games look so much better. Hands down, this is the one to buy if you need an upgrade or for a first time buyer.

Best gaming system out there, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS4 Pro is the best gaming system out there for hardcore gamers to moderate gamers. Nintendo probably has the PS4 Pro beat in the kid/family gaming market, but that's about the only area that the PS4 gets beat. The only thing that may be negative about the Pro is that if you don't have a 4k TV, the graphics improvements aren't really noticeable to the human eye, but the frame rate is improved and is actually noticeable. It's not a huge difference, but enough to notice the improvement. One surprising plus of the Pro over the regular PS4, is that it runs much, much quieter. My regular PS4 would get pretty loud during some long gaming sessions. With the Pro, I rarely hear any noise at all, while gaming, or otherwise. With that being said, I definitely recommend the PS4 Pro 100% over any other gaming system, but if you don't have a 4k TV and don't plan on getting one in the next few years, then save yourself some cash and get the regular PS4 or if you're buying a gaming system for your kids younger than about 10 years old, then maybe go with Nintendo. Otherwise, the PS4 Pro or regular, is the way to go.

A Nice Upgrade from A Launch Console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Destiny special console bundle 2 years ago, and it was great, and then last month (November) it began to slow down and little bugs and issues started cropping up. I decided to upgrade to the PS4 Pro because I had a 4K TV, and because I figured it was time to future proof for the remainder of this generation. The very first thing I did was launch The Witcher 3, which taxed my previous PS4, and I had a beautifully smooth 60fps experience (at 4K no less) -- I was very happy to see this and I can say without a doubt that this console will last me the remainder of the PS4/XB1/Switch era.

Great upgrade from the previous model
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've read a lot of comments from people who do not even own this device yet... to those people I say get a life. I purchased this about 2 weeks ago and here are my impressions thus far: a. Physically: if you had the original PS4 the size difference is not that much of an issue but if you had the slim model.. make room. its at least 1/2 - 3/4 " taller and a bit deeper. (still smaller than the original xbox one though) b. Game play: FIRST I DO NOT OWN A 4K TV!!! I'm speaking from a decent 1080P HD TV. I've tried several different games and modes and I'm comparing to my XBox one in regards to speed. I played Dishonored (definitive edition) on both systems. Game play seems smoother on the PS4 Pro, and screens load A LOT faster. Visually I cant tell a difference ON THIS GAME mainly because its not optimized for the improved PS4 Pro. Smite: I played on both systems (if you don't know Smite is an online MOBA style game similar to League of Legends) Game play wise both systems play about the same. Visually video is slightly better on the Pro than Xone. (lines are sharper, color gradation is much better) Rise of the Tomb Raider. I have about an hour or so on both systems but THIS game made me glad I choose to pick up a PS Pro. Even though its a 1080 TV the graphics and frame rate are SOOOOOO much better. Its almost like watching a tv show. game play is smooth as silk, lines are crisp and sharp, textures and colors Pop and all those little details like snow and rain make this a cut WAY above the other machine. possible problems I haven't checked yet: I read that there may be an issue with textures and frame rate dropping (from 60 fps to 55-58fps) in games like Skyrim and The last of us. I read that its not necessarily a HARDWARE issue so much as a developer issue. IF this is true I believe a patch down the line would correct this issue. (remember this system was only released 2 weeks ago... updates will be coming) Seeing as how these are the only two games that I've heard of this happening to, I wouldn't stress it too much. the work around is if you drop the video to 30fps you won't have this issue at all. Other down side, if your playing at higher frame rates... the fan kicks on and although not as loud as previous Playstations it can be noticeable. c. basic stuff: the controller is very comfortable to hold and maintains its charge for a good many hours. (I average about 2-3 hours a night and may have to charge it by the 3 or 4 th night.) I have Turtle Beach Stealth 400 headset from my previous PS4 works even better because I don't need the Optical cable. True Bluetooth. The increase processing power and larger hard drive alone makes the extra 100 bucks worth it. If you have any intention of doing the VR thing you have to get this version. Hands down. d. oh the Blue ray player.. some people are complaining about the Pro not having a 4K blue ray. Me personally I don't care. I watch most of my movies via streaming anyway. However to those that do watch blue ray, 4k resolution will only affect 4k blue rays. Any non 4k blue rays will still look the same. For me this was not a deal breaker but thats just me. Thats about all I can think of.. I tried to keep it very factual and straight forward. I would definitely recommend this device to any and anyone wanting a Playstation.

Upgrading from PS4 to PS4 Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Obviously you don’t need a 4K TV to get a PS4 Pro although you will benefit in a major way if you have a 4K TV that does 4K and HDR. If you don’t have a 4K you’re still noticed fast the running speed’s and a bit more of a better picture but the only advice I can give his only buy it if you’re really going to have a 4K TV to utilize the experiences of these games. One thing people should be aware of just because you buy PS4 Pro does NOT mean all your PS4 games that you’ve bought over the past couple years are going to be running out 4K and HDR that’s not gonna happen. Only the latest games from the past 4 to 5 months are basically since PS4 Pro came out will be “PS4 Pro enhanced” and you’ll notice on the back of a game you’ll see the logo of it saying PS4 Pro Enhanced if it doesn’t say it it’s not gonna be in 4K HDR anything going forward from three months ago should be PS4 Pro Enhanced. And anybody that’s interested in the last of us part two hands down you should have a PS4 playing the game which I cannot wait to play in a couple more months.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works flawlessly, seemed to have less lag issues than the standard PS4 slim. Little bummed out it doesn’t read 4K ultra HD disc, one of the main reasons I bought it. But digital downloads can be used in ultra HD and 4K. Note to buyer, don’t waste money on hard copy 4K movies to insert it in the PS4 PRO just digital download it.

Excellent gaming system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The extra cost of the PS4 Pro over the standard PS4 is well worth it. My new system loads faster, has more memory space and the graphics on my newer games, such as the last guardian, seem to be clearer. If you are in the market for a PS4 I recommend upgrading to a Pro.

Great PlayStation with lots of storage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this PlayStation as an upgrade for an older one. It works perfectly. It comes with a tremendous amount of storage and it also has more connections for controllers that the older version. It seems to run faster and produce better graphics than the older model. We downloaded our older games right to the new console with ease.

Worthy upgrade from my launch day PS4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll try to keep this short and say exactly why I spent the extra money and ditched my launch day PS4 that was working relatively fine for me except one major issue I had, it was getting way too loud with the fan noise! So is the Pro quieter? YES! And that's a benefit for me in multiple ways, especially in my recordings where the fan noise could be heard in my background when my mic was on. That's not all I'm getting out of it though.. I've had a 4k TV 2 years now and I am finally making better use of it more now, all I had before was Netflix. The graphical improvement can be seen from the very home screen all the game icons are sharper. And in game things are noticeably better on the eyes too, better lighting, sharper shadows better particle effects etc, even though not all the games run at 4k The next thing I love is that my recordings are now 1080p instead of 720p. It's 2018 now it makes a difference A little longer than I expected to write up but these are the reasons why I feel I got my money's worth.

There's no way I could be happier
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only reason I got a PS4 Pro is because I've got the Sony x900f television and I wanted that smooth frames per second and sharper details. I had no idea how awesome games are on this PS4 Pro as opposed to the original PS4. When I put Final Fantasy 7 in I could not believe the difference. On this TV I have the regular PS4 on the HDMI that only gives 1080p. Had this PS4 Pro on the advanced HDMI input and when I compare the game on one console to the other I couldn't believe the difference. The detail was much sharper, the colors looked better and it just felt truly epic, this console gave me everything I wanted! But my television doesn't do the super smooth frames per second, at least I'm guessing that's the reason. Maybe it's a PS4 Pro not able to do much within the frame rates. Also, the system is still pretty quiet and the internet connection is better . There's no way I could be any happier. The PS4 Pro, some games look better than my Xbox One X. I would give six stars if I could!

Great product!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded from my base level PS4 that I got in 2016 and decided that it was time for an upgrade to the Pro. It has been up to the hype and is just stronger and faster than my previous PS4. The only downside is that it is LOUD and raises a lot of heat, those things are easy to get over though.

Model CUH-7215B
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say. I had the original model PS4 Pro. It was loud, certain games would makes the fans seem like a jet is taking off. I haven’t encountered that with the same work load on the 7215B. It’s Quieter, by far! Performance seems faster but I also put in a 2TB SSHD Seagate HD as well. Overall, I’m not mad at it! Great console.

Decent upgrade if you have the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for the best of the best in 4k this is your best option for a console right now. From the start up I had a few issues with my tv recognizing the 4k signal. I had to start in safe mode and manually select which 4k output I wanted to use. Not sure if that was a PS4 issue or my cheap Visio tv. However, once I got it up I could immediately see a difference just from the menu. I sold my original PS4 for $225 and got the pro for $375 after using my Best Buy reward points. If you're thinking of getting an external hard drive for your 500gb PS4 I'd just go a little more expensive and get the pro. You get 1tb plus all the more power. Horizon zero dawn looks way better on the pro.
