It’s a nice little plug and play device. The game selection is pretty bad considering what they could choose from. But it comes with 2 controllers and for $20 was definitely worth it.

The system itself is nice and small and it’s great that it comes with two extended wired controllers but overall it’s missing a ton of games in it’s library that would have made this an epic classic system, GranTourismo, Tomb Raider, etc. Price is also a bit much considering the Nintendo and Sega versions are on average 30-40$ cheaper. Better off buying a modded original PS off eBay with old games.

The PlayStation Classic has a great collection of PlayStation One games, perfect for those that want to recapture the feeling of experiencing games like Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, and Final Fantasy VII. At its original price point ($100), I would have told you to stay away from it, but its current $19.99 price is too good to pass up. The package itself has its shortcomings, like the lack of analog sticks on its controllers, the game themselves have not aged as well as the NES and SNES Classics and their pixelated counterparts, but that is not reason enough to keep someone from getting it, especially at such a great price.

There are certain games on this console that bring back old memories such as metal gear solid, twisted metal, siphon filter, or tekken. These games didn't hold up very well over time. They don't look good on HD or 4k. They should have included more than 20 games. It comes with two wired controllers. Wireless would be better. I paid 60 for this and I'm OK with it but I wouldn't pay a penny more.

There is nothing easier than hacking this to make it an emulator for older game systems. I got this and set it up to play old Nintendo games for my kids. They totally love it! It's great for people to do things like that. Just search for PSC emulators and you will find a plethora of information on how to do it. It's worth getting even just for the controllers as they are great. You may want to purchase some USB extensions to go with them though as the cords are a bit short.

In its intended form the PS Classic was a misfire. Several implementation errors, games I never wanted to play, games I already played with little interest in playing again, and games that were good but aged horribly. But... When the price came down to a mere $20 and hacks figured out how to run any software from the USB power port, it became a whole new machine. Go to the site Arcade Punks and you can obtain emulator packages that give access to the entire PS1 library and THOUSANDS of games from other game systems. This make sit more like a Raspberry Pi in a nice classic case with included controllers. Hard to beat.

I honestly was a little skeptical when this was first announced but being a game lover I couldn’t turn down getting it. I was actually very impressed with the way they did the system. It’s small easy to move around and doesn’t take much space. The games they choose for the system are nice too but of course there is always room for debate on that. I personally would have liked to see FF8 included but for the price you get a lot of the good titles. I would recommend it if you want to feel nostalgic and remember your childhood.

Even if you don’t get it on sale, the games Sony decided to include in this machine are rare, overlooked, and a lot of fun. The only real downside to the system is the length of the PS1 controller, but you can buy a USB extender. The graphics hold up well because the games are somewhat simple in design, even though they require great strategy. The controller is fantastic. You get two PS1 controllers and it feels very sturdy. You also get a free HDMI cable. The system is very small and lightweight.

This classic console is good for the price i paid for it. It brings back a nice Nostalgia factor. I think if you can get this console for under $50 or so get it. FF7, Metal Gear Solid ,Wild arms, Intelligent Cube and Persona. I would value those games at like $10 each if I was to buy them digitally anywhere. Super good deal if you want that OG feel.

This item is mostly for those who owned the original Playstation One back during its original release. The graphics and framerates are rough for those who never played the games in their original condition, however for those who want a trip down memory lane this is a great nostalgic console! I do wish there was an option to pay for additional games as the list is hit or miss based on your personal interests. For example I am a big JRPG fan and while they have Final Fantasy VII and Wild Arms, they are missing a lot of other PS1 classics such as Xenogears, Suikoden 1 and 2, Final Fantasy VIII and XI, The Legend of Dragoon, etc.

What better way to relive your childhood than the PS1? Graphics are as expected— same as when they came out. Pretty disappointed with the selection of games. With the current selection I’d give it a 3 star rating because there are only a few I used to play and we had TONs I’d PS1 games. However, these are made so you can add games to a USB. Once you add the games you “already own ;)” from a USB drive... that may or may not have been bought online... it’s awesome. You “may” be able to fine USB drives online with 50-100 of your favorite titles. The additional titles you can “find” makes it a 5 star. So, overall it’s a 4.

Was looking forward to getting the PS1 Classic when it was announced because I got the PS1 when it first came out in 1994. Then the bad reviews made me not want the PS1 Classic anymore. Then the price drops started happening left and right. My buy price was $20 and I was lucky enough to find one at my Best Buy at that price. The PS1 Classic needs a few mods for it to be as enjoyable as the original PS1. After mods, you can use a PS4 controller and add additional features that I can't mention.

Got that feeling and bought it for $40 on a sale. Now I can finally play Final Fantasy VII as well as other games. The little console also looks good as a collectible.

I enjoy the compact size of the console. I do feel more games should have been added. One such as Jet Motto. Love that game

There isn't much good to say about this, between the lackluster game choice and poor emulation, this system just isn't very good compared to the Nintendo ones. However, if you do get this, one redeeming quality is that the controllers are just plain USB, so you can plug them into a computer to use.

It's a fun console full of memories. If only it had more than 20 pre-loaded games... I bought one for myself and one for my kids. $20 each was hard to pass up.

Had some problems with the emulation of a few of the games, but still a neat little device and great fun to pull out at parties. Comes with two controllers!

The systems looks just like a mini PlayStation. Controllers feel like the original. Game selection could’ve been better.

The PlayStation Classic is well-built and the controllers feel good to play with. My only real gripe is that the selection of games could have been better.
