Great little negative scanner, with a few caveats

The scans at very high resolution. My negatives come out 7, 000 pixels by 10,000 pixels. That's big enough for a poster. The reason I took a star off is because the silver fest application, while robust with a lot of great features, is constantly crashing, freezing, or just losing access to the printer. I have to restart it all the time.

Does exactly what I bought it for, and the scanner has a good design and produces quality images. Just have a little issue with the software - it requires the disc to be in the computer in order run. A bit of a pain.

I been thoroughly enjoying this scanner and the included software is nice..
Definitely a solid and well built unit, scans are pretty high quality and SilverFast is a vast program with many options to explore
