If you just want more ram and don't want to spend a lot, this will work.

Updated my laptop ram, and it has better response time. It boots faster, does not hang.

I've updated a number of MacBook Pros with this economical upgrade. More RAM helps to reduce or eliminate beachballing. I haven't had any issues with them, always recognized by the system with no glitches. They've backwards compatible with slower buses like 1333 MHz.

My kids all have their own laptops and obviously, they primarily use them for games. Adding a little extra RAM makes a big difference and they went from wanting new computers to being mostly happy. A great way to buy time and put off major upgrades.

I bought this the same time as my MacBook Pro to fully max out the specs to my desired amount, it is much cheaper than buying the next higher up model from apple! they work great and are easy to install. I haven't had a single hiccup since installing.

Works as expected! I upgraded from 6gb to 8 gb with this and the difference is there, though only slight. But it is what I expected, given my computer's low specs.
