Overall, it does its purpose and works well. However, I almost feel like it's going to break on me relatively soon, but then again, that's just a feeling. The reason being is that the USB is very plastic. Even the tip of the USB, that gets inserted into the computer, is made out of plastic. I feel like I can easily bend it. It's really weird because typically those parts are made out of metal and they feel a lot sturdier. I'm not sure why this one is made from plastic. Anyways, it's cheap, works okay (average, not fast or anything), but it works if you need to store some basic files. I would recommend getting two, just in case, because you never know if one will break, so it's good to have back-up files on another one. It's actually good to have two USBs anyways, I've actually learned this recently, because someone can break yours, regardless of the quality. Also, USBs get lost.... so it's good to have the spare laying around with all the files on it. So transfer and back-up your files regularly.

Price on sale was great. There is no cover/lid but wasn't big issue.

Plug and play, simple to use and 8GB is just fine for storing plenty of photos to pass on to friends and family for sharing.

I originally purchased this item to transfer files back and forth between computers. Then, I decided I was going to use it to create a bootable drive to install a new OS on an old laptop that I had. The system doesn't recognize the drive when checking through BIOS. I've tried using this USB drive as a bootable drive on several different systems since to install new OS's, but none of them recognize the drive. It's a good drive for storage, but don't expect to use it to install an OS.

The USB drive worked just fine, after I figured out how to slide the cover back to expose the connector, instead of pulling it off.

I use these flash drives for end of semester final projects. It was quick and easy to use between my computer and the computers in the campus computer lab. The capacity is not enough for large files like DVD's, or a large number of pictures, but it worked great for my projects which were a 10 page paper, a power point, and a twenty page paper.

Lots of storage space for such a compact product. Easy to use.
