This is one of the few cards that is at MSRP and although it isn't one of the best looking, the build quality does feel nice and can look good with an all-black build.
I was able to overclock the core to stay at ~3150mhz, I probably could have gone higher but wanted stability in actual gaming without tinkering too much. Memory was overclocked to 2000+, which didn't result in performance loss or stability issues despite seeming high and hitting the limit on MSI Afterburner. Supposedly, you can remove the memory limit and go beyond 2000+ but I didn't bother.
The overclock resulted in a 10.2% fps difference in 3DMark Steel Nomad between PNY's stock OC and mine; the difference between a stock Nvidia FE 5080 is likely higher. The overclocking headroom of the 5080s makes the value proposition better (still isn't amazing), especially if you get this card at MSRP.
Throughout the benchmarks the card stayed below 73C in my compact case and also the fans turn off completely when the card is not underload, which is nice for noise.

I was able to pick up this card at MSRP and upgraded my 7 year old PC from a 1080TI. This card is an absolute monster and could handle anything I threw at it on a 1440p monitor. Temps were cool and power draw was in the low to mid 300's. Definitely recommend this card for anyone who's been waiting for a significant upgrade.`

I am comparing this to my friend's nvidia 5080 fe card.
This has better performance, you can see it in the benchmarks, and it is clocked higher. It does this while being less noisy. Although the noise of both cards are neglibile.
Now the FE looks much better, and looks better built, but the pny isnt very bad. It comes with its own gpu mount, is is significantly larger. Takes up the entire width of my case.
Only issue I have with it, it is a nitpick, the back of the gpu exposed outside smudges. This is rarely an issue, but when you touch it by mistake while connecting a dp / hdmi cable, it can be annoying.
5080 however, I would suggest you reconsider. I only got it because I wanted a card quickly, and this was available for pickup. The 5070ti does everything the 5080 does with an almost unnoticable difference in performance.

Been building pc's since the 3dfx Voodoo days and PNY is one if the og's. Card worked out of the box using the latest drivers, no issues as the internet says. Runs cool and quiet, no coil whine.
Performance gains were huge coming from a Powercolor 6800XT. No rgb wich is a plus, came with 16v to 3x8 pin adapter so im not worried about fires, and the best part, got it at msrp.
Going into a batman build with an AMD 9800X3D.

I was fortunate enough to get this when it was still $999. That was the only way I intended on getting a 5080 as I was coming from a 3090 which still plays everything just fine. Whether or not it's worth it at $500 more is up to you.
That being said, this jump is pretty fantastic. Playing Maxed out Doom: The Dark Ages at 4K 150+ fps w/ 2x frame gen is an incredible experience. Everything I try to play I see massive uplift. On top of that, it is remarkably efficient. When playing graphically intensive games, it is typically using under 300 watts while chilling in the 50s-low 60s.
Not to mention the overclocking, my god. Insane noticeable uplift while not using much more power. Getting within 5-10% of the 4090 at a lower cost. I am very happy with that.
Build quality is solid, and I still like the look of the GPU without the RGB. PNY really did well with this one. I wish they kept that price $999, but that's just how things are going now.

This GPU has the best value for the 5080 series. I tested mostly all of them and this one has small flaws. The temps don't get higher than 70 degrees on average, it gets 65 on the AAA game. Overclocking it can boost up 15 frames using MSI Afterburner and doesn't cause any stress. Make sure you have a 1000 watts or higher for OC. The only flaw is that it takes a few minutes to configure the frame generation settings. You might need to restart the game or the software. It does feel cheap and but as long as you take care of it, you shouldn't worry at all.

This card is great. Not a hyper inflated price like Asus or MSI. Its not the prettiest card in the 50 series lineup but I can appreciate the function over form. Runs cool and quiet. OCs and underlots very well. Good framerates in 4k at high/ultra settings for around 300 watts. Big step up from my old 3080 and benchmarks are coming in close to or at 4090 numbers. Maybe we see PNY become the next EVGA.

I just bought this card and it’s fantastic! Super quiet, stays cool even under heavy 4K gaming, and the factory overclock really gives it a nice boost. It’s a big card, but totally worth it for the performance.

Great card! To be honest, I wasn't sure about buying from PNY at first; my previous GPU's were a Founders Edition then EVGA before that, so I'm used to their level of quality. Well, I can happily report that this card EASILY matches their quality and completely blew away all of my expectations for it, all while staying at MSRP too.
Playing Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p Ultra w/ Path Tracing, this thing pulls 320W and averages 64°C at the minimum fan speed of 30%. It's practically inaudible. As for coil whine, there isn't any to speak of even at full tilt. Super impressive performance with plenty of headroom for OC.
If you can get your hands on this at MSRP and don't mind the no-frills appearance, I highly recommend it! I'm really glad I didn't let my lack of experience with PNY scare me away.

Very impressive so far. Super easy to install. Plug in and play basically. Upgraded from a 3080. I'm a sim racer. ACC (unreal engine sim game) is now playable in VR which I could never get to good enough settings with my previous 3080 and that's without upgrading my CPU. I plan to do that later. Once I go to a 14th gen intel processor paired with this 5080 nothing will stop me. It arrived WAY quicker than predicted (like 3 days earlier). I can now play all my sim racing games in VR and in my triple 1440p monitors (with great graphics). FPS hasn't changed much because I'm CPU bottlenecked at the moment.

Im not sure why this is so cheap...maybe they have some deal with NVIDIA to keep the price low? Performs amazingly, is quiet and cool. Feel like I really lucked out snagging this at MSRP. Also it comes with a anti Dag bracket for the GPU.

Must’ve gotten lucky my card barely breaks a sweat even overclocked to a 3300mhz and +2000 memory clock. It’s stable as can be and barely breaks 62c after getting a case (h6 flow) with fans on the bottom to help cool it. In my old h5 flow case it would get close to 70c which is still fine. But my card is church mouse quiet. Works. No gimmicks no frills card. 5 star.

The performance is pretty good. I haven’t been able to get over 300 MHz over clock, but that’s fine. Normal operation it’s pretty quiet but if you turn the fans past 50% it gets pretty loud. Even with the overclock it’s only drawing around 380 W max. The only problem is the VRAM has enough performance to run Indiana Jones maxed out quality, but doesn’t have enough VRAM.

An extremely powerful card... Runs everything.. Far more powerful and draws less power than my 3080 ti.. The only thing more powerful is the RTX 5090... But that's kind of overkill... You're totally fine with a 5080 trust me.. highly recommended!

Great deal at $999 including tax. This card replaced my 2080 GPU. Fit easily inside my Fractal Design North case. Works great. Only needed to add 3rd PCI-e cable for my existing 850 watt PSU. Quiet. Zero issues. Would buy again.

After a couple weeks, I’ve had a great time, this gpu is a beast compared to 3070 ti that felt very good. I paired this gpu with a 9800x3d and a 4k alienware oled and Ive not been disappointed, for an msrp model this has very good OC performance. I’ve only experienced issues with Black Ops 3 but it seems to be a known bug I experienced so hopefully it is fixed in a future driver update, As for newer games I’ve held well above 100 fps in 4k ultra in games like Stellar Blade and Cyberpunk albeit using DLSS 4. My only wish is this GPU had more VRAM for the price but overall its been great so far and for those looking for a msrp 5080 with great OC potentia i was able to boost mine by about 10% very easily even in my small form factor case
