I bought this as a replacement hard drive for my wife's ASUS laptop. the HDD was having issues. It kept locking up and when the laptop was restarted, the black/blue screen of death would keep coming on no matter how many times the laptop was factory restored. My wife, being a gamer, has had no issues with this SSD! As soon as the system recovery was completed, I could tell a huge difference in how fast her laptop boots up. A definite must have for a hard drive upgrade!

Purchased for a new pc build, my second build, found the ssd on sale and for 250gb the price was pretty good. The install was simple enough, used it for the boot drive and everything boots / Loads very quickly compared to my other systems where I used a non-ssd drive.

Great SSD. I purchased this to install my Steam collection and could not be happier. This was about $80 at purchase and for the performance it is a must buy.

Loaded Windows 10 on this drive and it boots in 25 seconds, that's with typing a password! Love it will probably buy larger version for my large programs.

This SSD has brought new life to an old laptop. The price point can't be beat. i plan on buying another one when I rebuild my desk top later this year

Very quick fast read/write speeds. These SSDs are getting so cheap that I've been replacing all of my spinning media.

Purchased this an upgrade. It turned my laptop in to a speed machine. Windows boots in about 5 seconds.

SSDs are a way of the future, not necessarily THE way of the future, but nonetheless, if you are looking for a sure-fire way of speeding up speeds on your computer, install a SSD! Unfortunately, I will admit, that being new to installing SSDs at the time of this purchase, I did not go the recommended route of putting my main operating system on this SSD, but instead, made this SSD my main Steam gaming drive, hoping to improve gaming FPS. In short (although many will tell you that the DLL files that are accessed by games these days are housed on your main operating system drive, and it makes more sense to put the SSD to work in the main operating system capacity, which I agree with) you will no doubt increase gaming speeds doing what I have done, although, keep in mind SSDs have less storage unless you are willing to spend a little more $$. I hope to buy another SSD some day for my main operating system drive, but for now, I am satisfied with this SSD! Buy it!

I used this in my gaming rig my whole pc runs off ssd drives and I never have any issues or slow downs.

I prefer Samsung SSD but PNY really blew me away with its performance. boot time fore the HTPC i built using this drive was 10 from bios to OS. I think you will like it.

Great drive for the price installation was simple and easy booted up quick and works.

Nice drive. Not the fastest but good speeds. Check your mounting options. May need kit to mount in desktop.

I have an inexpensive little i3 laptop that was slow as a dog even with 6gb RAM. Figured I'd give an SSD a chance and holy smokes is it fast. And silent. And rad. I actually enjoy using my laptop now.

I bought two of these. I am using on as an external drive to host a Virtual Machine that I use for an Android development environment. The second is in a stand alone desktop Android development machine. Both drives are being used heavily and have helped improve the overall performance of setting up AOSP images and building. Excellent drives for the money.

brand name nice price and design performance easy to install

I bought this ssd to test out windows 10 on my laptop without destroying my previous good working installation of Windows 8.1. Removed old drive and installed new ssd into laptop. I then reinstalled 8.1 on the new ssd, then upgraded to windows 10. I like windows 10 but it still needs some work...Windows 10 recognized it with no problems and installed just fine. Wiped the new ssd and reinstalled windows 10 to see how it would do from scratch....no problems again. So a very good investment if upgrading to windows 10.
