Purchased specifically for PS5 based on some earlier youtube/reviews which showed it met/exceeded the requirements. That being said, it seems like a recent PS5 update as of Dec 11, 2021 those speeds are currently unattainable or maybe inaccurate in the first place. I did pop the driver into my pc to verify if firmware was up to date, and test via crystal disk mark and was within specs. PNY tweeted a response about the drive as well. Have decided to keep as my current experience is it works absolutely fine with my PS5 games such as Ghost of Tsushima, NBA 2k22, and Spider-Man Remastered/Morales. Load times are quick and no perceived negative effects. So would I suggest others to purchase? If you want something that matches/exceeds PS5 requirements. NO Works with PS5 and great price. YES If by any chance future games are negatively impacted by the drive will then place into PC and buy appropriate drive. Otherwise will enjoy for now! =)

Works like it should. I am currently using this for my Xbox X. Easy to install and was up and running in few min. I have tested few games moving back and forth and it gets great speeds.

Fantastic product, no complaints. The added memory was easy to install and I have no issues with over heating or memory loss.

Gen4 PCIE somewhat speeds, works for my needs which is game storage. Quickly transfers gigs of traffic in seconds. If you do lots of constant file transfer or workload is storage heavy, may want to look at the pricer SSDs that offer full Gen4 PCIE speeds. I feel like 90% of people out there, this SSD will work great for most folks.

Replaced two slower 1TB drives with this big one, and it's the perfect replacement. There are faster NVMe drives out there but it's pretty much impossible to tell the difference without benchmarks, and who needs 7000 vs 5000 MB/s sequential read speeds anyway?

Just installed in PS5. After formatting, read speeds reported ~3,400. Not great. Will see how it runs.

Purchased it online during Christmas sale. Picked it up earlier than expected. Purchase experience was good. Tech specs were listed at 5.6 Gbps. Bought this for PS5. But when installed it showed only 3.8 Gbps. Hence returned it. Might be good SSD for PC.

It is great for ps5! Just make sure you buy a heatsink. Search for one specifically for PS5, so that it fits.

Writes speeds are way below specs. Put in my PS5 and notice the speeds came back way under what was stated.

This added 2T capability to my new computer is just what I needed. I had the computer built and without thinking about how much video I had only ordered it built with 1TB solid state hard drive. when all my files and videos were downloaded to the computer I only had about 700 GB of space left.
